On another note, I’m totally down with Sarah Palin for President. Her tits alone would get my vote. Once again, I remember during the Republican debates, a question was asked if they would have have basically ordered the same hit on Bin Laden as Obama did. Hell, not only could I see Palin ordering the hit, she probably would have liked to fire off a few rounds herself!

Sara Palin is a great soccer mom but a horrible politician. That is why she quit. Ya'll do know she quit right? Who the fuc wants a quitter as their elected leader besides....nobody. Even the Tea wacko's would not vote for her. They like her as their spokesperson though.

To the OP:
Women running the world would be no different then men btw. Power is wtf corrupts, not gender. Give a bitch some power and go see for yourself. Ask any poor married bastard!

It seems to me that you are putting all women into a certain category. No two women are ever exactly alike, and the same goes for men.

it was implied that if women ran the world there would be less violence. I disagreed . I stated the reason I thought so. Power courrepts. Both genders succumb to power

I think you should never give up attempting to communicate and negotiate with others. The only exception is when all else fails and last resort strong arming..but that should be last resort. Some of our politicians are all too eager to go to war and take what they want from other countries.

I always worry that our country will be turned on by the rest of the world. My fear is that we go too far and other countries will see us as the threat.

Well I agree I mean jeesh look at Margaret Thatcher and some of the other women that have been in power through out the world. A woman is just as capable of ruthlessness and killing as any man. Yes I agree WTF power corrupts.

The quote is often misquoted, and i need to look it up.....

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men." Lord Action 1887.

'Men' was used here because of course women had no political power in those days.

But we can assume nowadays it refers to both genders. i see no evidence that women are morally superior, they simply have different ways of performing.

My thoughts? Is it that power tends to corrupt, or that those who tend to be corruptible seek power? Anybody seeking absolute power must surely have the seeds of corruption already well bedded? Anybody seeking to be POTUS must surely be a bit weird?

I was about to get into religious discussion about sin, forgiveness, psalms of david, and penitential prayer from the Book of Common Prayer, but y'all will be thankful that I am holding back for the moment.

You say our politicians are "eager to go to war and take what they want from other countries." This is liberal nonsense and it's dishonest. Liberals like you are desperate to find evil in everything America does, always looking for any excuse to demonize America.

Just exactly what have we taken from another country because we went to war? This is the kind of propaganda rhetoric you would expect from our enemies.

Enlighten me. Share your wisdom. What have we taken from other countries by going to war? For instance, explain to me what we've taken from Afghanistan. They seem to have an abundance of dirt and rocks. Is that why we're there?

You guys have picked a bad day to spew your anti-American crap. This is Memorial Day weekend. Imperfect as we are, America has used it's military as a force for good in the world. America is on the verge of bankruptsy, and very soon, may no longer be a superpower. The vacuum left behind, from downsizing our military, will be filled by Russia, China and the Islamists. It's going to be a dark age.

I'm not anti-American bro, unless you consider our founding fathers foreign policies anti-American as well.

"Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations -- entangling alliances with none." - Thomas Jefferson

"the great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is, in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible." - George Washington

These policies are not complicated.

Ohh, and I forgot to answer your first question. The lives of their innocent.

The point of our current wars is not to bring anything back. The point is to make money for the war profiteers that run the government. Keep the wars going as long as you can, and if one has to end (Iraq) make sure you have another one lined up (Iran). Keep the money flowing. And don't worry, only poor kids enlist anyway, like they would have had a life.
