In all seriousness OneMule (ElumEno), if you're buying their rapid HIV test (the one offered alone for $179.00) you're buying a PCR quantitative test that will give accurate results within two weeks of exposure and is pretty much to "porn" standard(s). Good for you, it is a great test!
If you're buying their other, less expensive "standard" HIV test (included in their $239 package), well, you're getting a raw deal, as you can get that for free (anonymously) at one of many clinics throughout the metro and it will not test accurately for exposures within the last two months with any reliability, so no, it won't "beat free clinic standards". In fact, all of the tests in their $239 "package deal" are available for free (or at significantly reduced cost) from several clinics in the area - there's no need to pay anywhere near $239.00 . . . ijs.
In most any case, your chances of contracting anything are less in this endeavor than they are in picking up a woman randomly, in a bar (statistically) - as has been discussed here on ECCIE several times previously. In fact, HIV is one of the more difficult sexually transmitted diseases for a heterosexual man using a condom to contract (unless you're in to heterosexual anal sex, which changes the statistics greatly).
And, this thread hasn't been fully hijacked yet - we haven't even begun to approach Godwin's law (link).
Kisses,
- Jackie

And here I was feeling all good about myself... and yes they talked to me about the rapid HIV test, and I declined.
I guess I pretty much just paid for the convenience. was in and out of their office in under an hour.
The last time I was at a clinic, it took damn near the whole day.

This is where I get my testing done....
http://getstdtested.com/std-testing-options?c=2
I have been there twice since starting the hobby.
I get the complete package and pay cash for it.
Both times I got the results in less then 48 hours.
Now it might not meet PORN standards but it sure beats free clinic standards.
Some place on here I read where someone said that married guys are less likely to get tested.
Hell being married is WHY I get tested. My worst nightmare is bring something back to the wife.
That is just my cent's worth.. now I'll go back to my corner and finish my popcorn.

I am not real familar with this test but if it is an antibodies test the only way to ensure results is to be tested twice within 90 days while abstaining. It can take 90 days for antibodies to show up at a level that can be detected. Because of this it is possible to be exposed on on Monday and be tested on Friday and have a 0 anti bodies or neg result. What you should do is take the test once as a base line or starting point. abstain from sex for 90 days and then be tested again. The PCR DNA test detects the virus presense at a cellular level where it can be present within 3 days of exposure but not detectible by anti body testing. It is this type of testing that should be mandatory for any regulated sex business.
my bad me and Jackie must have been responding at the same time.

Don't get me wrong, it is GREAT that you care enough to care, and you're getting tested. Yes, the clinics can sometimes take the better part of a few hours - it is unfortunate they take so long for basic testing, I feel more people would use the services if they were "streamlined". If you are willing to pay for the convenience, by all means, continue to do so and get tested. Next time, just spend a few dollars more and have them roll their "rapid" (better) HIV test into a discounted package price for you - I bet they will - as the last thing they want is to lose your business to somewhere else.
You might pay a bit more for their package with the better HIV test included, but it is worth it.
BTW, unless it is being done as a confirmation of a previous positive result, you can't get the better "rapid" test (the PCR test) for free at any of the local clinics.
In my book, you're still one up on many Mule, you're actively getting tested, and you're willing to discuss it openly - and in your doing so, you let others know they should too.
Big kisses,
- Jackie

Huh, I always read his name as L-M-N-O.
Anyway, back to this terribly on topic thread.

OneMule backwards . . . or maybe, one backwards ass mule . . . LOL - but I see where L M N O works too. I think it was Hef at the cabin that made the observation first, Q.
Nice guy in PM, haven't met him IRL (yet).
As there is no known instance of a male mule siring offspring in the scientific literature, perhaps he shoots blanks. Maybe he can clue us in since we've gone this far off the beaten path already . . .

Jackie, have you ever thought of screen writing. You could create a sit com about providers.

Thank You Jackie, I will take that as one of the best compliments I've had on here.
I have come to understand that what should be just common sense, just isn't that common.

Damn now I have to tell you what a geek I am. I use to play a online MMORPG game and was making a 'mule' character,
just didn't want to call it the normal, male 1, male 2 ect. that everyone seemed to be naming them at that time.
so I decided to be a little backward and name my character 'ElamEno' but wouldn't you know it, I typed it in as ElumEno.
Which was very fitting account it was a Mule character, so I kept that name.
It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the wife had me fixed years ago, or that I've been called a stubborn ass my whole life.

Ok I have been a lurker on here for 2 yrs but the depth of Jackie's knowledge is so impressive I just had to post and give kudos. I just wish my professors in college had combined the same quality of info and beauty in one package. I am sure I would of paid more attention. A Van Halen song comes to mind.
Very comprehensive.
I recently read up on the subject of Hiv and Aids after rewatching the 1994 movie And the band plays on.
And I agree there are far easier things to catch that Hiv. Remember something a common as the Flu still takes out thousands a year in the US alone.
