Everyone starts as a newbie. That first lady who will see you without refs is paramount in getting your foot in the door. For me it was my ATF Pepper, (she was newbie friendly at the time) so I lucked out! If she didn't see me, I don't know what I would have done to get into the community.

Well, off the top of my head I'd have to say that this would benefit a guy because...

-He doesn't have to give up any personal information.

-If he's a black-listed variety, he could still be able to take a dip into the pool.

-If the guy's intent is to hit-and-run grabbing the envelope along the way, she's the perfect target.

-She won't be calling his references, and won't have to suffer the rare backlash that occasionally occurs. (his reference contacting him and asking WTF?)

-If she gets popped by LE, she's got no real record tying him to the encounter.

Hmmm.... screening benefits the hobbiest by the trickle down theory...(but for real this time.)
There should be less nervousness from the hobbiest to know that the girl you're seeing just made sure the guy before you wasn't the craigslist killer or L E.
I'd feel sorry for the guy walking into the appointment after one of those guys.

From a newbie's point of view like myself screening benefits the guy also because there is less risk involved in seeing a provider who you've never seen before. No one wants any unexpected surprises .

If the focus is simply does the guy get laid better because she screens the answer is not necessarily. However, a "lady" that screens shows a level of professionalism that would lead me to believe that the service will be good and the odds of getting ripped off are very small. The benefits of security are intangible unless you are getting ripped off, blackmailed, or arrested. Screening directly and indirectly reduces those risks for the client.

IMHO. The only benifit is the consolation that the 'vider spends the time to ensure that you are reputible. If they are willing to back off from the $$ for however long that takes... Well that shows caution, which hopefully means protection for you.

As we all know, there are NO absolutes in this hobby.

I know I'm preaching not to the choir, but to the conducter now.

It only benefits the guy to an extent mentioned before in this thread. At a point though, it actually starts to harm him in my opinion. When a lady starts asking things like place of employment or for a driver's license, the guy involved has just stepped into the business WAY more than is advisable in my opinion for a customer of ANY legally-questionable transaction.

So my opinion: some decent screening benefits both parties but over-screening only benefits the provider.

P.S. This is precisely why I will never join P411 and if a lady requires it, I'll move on. I don't care what they say their security measures are as I work in a field with first-hand knowledge of exactly how cyber-security works. Sorry, I have too much to lose.
