Default Manu Injuried Again

OK as we all know by now Manu is hurt again, scheduled for surgery tomorrow. Prognosis says he'll be out about 6 -8 weeks, with a shortened season, Spurs chances of making the playoffs are not looking too good. Should they trade for a replacement? What do you think?

As a fan of the NBA Champions, Dallas Mavericks, I have many opinions as to my favorite Argentine export, Manu, aka, the "biggest flopper" in the NBA but, alas, I am still feeling the Christmas Spirit and will restrain myself.

**A little friendly competition is good for the soul...

**And YES, Spurs fans, I realize we finally won it all after giving it away before and YES, Spurs fans, I realize you have 4 titles to our 1 title.

I think Mavis have bigger problems than the Spurs, up the highway, go by the name The Thunder. Losing Tyson Cyandler and JJ Barea will come back to hurt them...IMO.

I would trade Parker & Jefferson in a heartbeat. The former for his liaison with the Yoko Ono of basketball with the damage it has done to him and the team, and the latter because basically he sucks!

Manu is the spark, the inspiration and the wild card that confounds teams. He cannot be measured in any conventional terms. Even injured he produces more than most!

As a footnote the guy I would love to have next to TIm is Dwight Howard. He could use some peer coaching to help him mature. But right now I think he is the best player in the league!

Spurs are in for a long (short ) season. Duncan showing his age and losing manu right now is devastating, but the good thing is that its right now and not later...he will be back. Parker got screamed at again by pop last night for his lazy ass french style of play...probably hung over from partying the night before post eva now..only way we got a chance is if the young guys take over an step up..tj ford looking good early ..neal looks like one hit wonder...heat to win it all

Rakir agree with your suggestion of trading both of those guys. Magic would want too much for Howard. If Spurs could get a JJ Barera or Deron Williams I think they would have an immediate impact on the team.

Oh I get it about Howard. It's just a private wish list. I would also like to have Scola back as well.

Quite frankly after this year I think Tim will announce retirement and fade from public view back to the Virgin Islands with his family. Parker will go somewhere else and Manu may play one more year but will eventually retire and begin to coach.

The future is in obtaining young talent now and using the vets to season them. Quite frankly though I just dont see anyone one the horizon becoming the new stud/s on the team.

Rakir you scenario sounds right, the next big question is, how long will Pop be the coach. Will he be bumped to GM or just fade out?

Honestly I don't see Pop giving up any time soon. I think he will be gunning for Sloan's win record with one team. He already is the big presence in the head office. Big question is when RC will step down and retire from the head office. Also I see things starting to crumble there as result of his recent DWI.
