tats dont bother me.. i actually like them on most people if theyre not too over-the-top or distracting... i dont have any and dont plan on getting one, because i dont really have anything that i would actually want on my body for the rest of my life.. the pain wouldnt bother me as much as the thought of an image, name, symbol, etc, being inked in my skin permanently.. i'd rather get piercings.. i've had a couple but had to find out the hard way that im allergic to stainless steel so right now im not pierced anywhere like i said.. i dont have anything against the girls on here on guys who have tattoos... your choice, your life, your body.

				Marketing thoughts

Ok, I'll throw the turd in the punch bowl:
1. Do you consider providing a business? What are you marketing and to whom?
Most of the male replies in this thread represent guys in their 20s and 30s. More disposable income is found at the 40-60 year range.
2. Think of the girls that were available during that demographic's coming of age. What did they look like? Check out the Playboy foldouts of the 80s. Those girls had no ink to speak of and most of them had trimmed or full bushes. Do you want to be unique and edge out the other 300 providers in the Dallas market? Or do you want to be unique like everyone else?
3. If I were appealing to my biggest income group of regulars, I'd try
to emulate what they wish for. Make maximum $$ and then upon retirement, get all the ink and/or iron I desired. How many providers
sport an uninked epidermis AND have a bush? Less than 10. That's a
uniqueness not many have. 10 out of 300 would set you apart.
4. A favorite quote from a movie of thay time is from "Best Little
Whorehoiuse in Texas", to wit, "Now as for tattoos, brands belong on
cattle, and that ain't what we're sellin' at Miss Mona's."
Counterpoint: having said all that, that last two years I have confined my affections to one provider ( does that make her my ATF or hobby wife?) and that young lady has several tattoos and has had her tongue pierced. Her knowledge of opera, culinary skills and her taste for unfiltered red wines totally obviate any distraction her markings might give.

Conflicting views? Surely, but I caution of getting a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling.

I think ink is incredibly hot....especially if it's on a person that has a great personality.

				I Have Become An Expert

I do not have a single tattoo, and I have had plenty of opportunities.

I never gave them much thought untill I hooked up with my ATF, who is well covered. The first time I saw her over two years ago, I was intimidated, I did not know what to think. But, I sooned learned that it would have been a big mistake for me to walk away because of the ink.

Heck, I don't even notice the tattoos now. Whether we are out on the town, in the shower, or in bed, the tattoos are a non issue.

I know it is a big turn off for a lot of guys, and some they are a big turn on. For me, they are just a non issue.

It is the Lady, not the ink.

				Then again...think of LEO

Another line of thought. Our hobby is not necessarily legal in most of the world, and a tattoo is a VERY distingushed identifying mark. I know of one provider that beat a wrap because she had one, kept it mostly hidden, and NEVER had it published.

Yet another direction. I was once told that it is a trade secret that if you do not have a specific idea of what design should be for a 'tramp stamp', what you get is a design that, in some culture, somewhere, it means, "This End Up." <lol>

dont like too much....but not bothered

I am not too partial to big tatoos, although I dont get too bothered by them...so long as the breasts, shoulders, neck and face are not covered with them. I especially do not like those evil looking ones. I dont get why a beautiful lady would want that.

However, every once in a while I see someone with many tatoos and I think they are just hot as hell. Such is the case with Eva_Rose. Think she looks sexy and her tatoos are artistic. Just my .02 worth. See for yourself.

Call me old fashioned, but I consider tattoos to be trashy. I think God's art work should not be tampered with by man's attempt at art. The form of a woman is art work enough. If I know a provider has a tattoo, I'll think twice about seeing her. The only problem is that nowadays it seems like every provider under 35 has a tattoo, so now I kinda turn a blind eye to it. But, she better have a smoking hot body and/or a more open menu. To me, a tattoo is a major turn off.

I have a small discrete butterfly and usually it is not visible. I think if they are tasteful it is sexy but I respect a person who decides to express them self with a lot of body art. Not my style but that is the great thing about people being different.

I feel a man's name on a woman either right above her vagina or on her lower back is distasteful. It's like he branded her. That he owns her and he wants whoever is "having" her, to know she is his and only his for keeps.

			Tattoos are a regionally phenomenon.
I've lived in TX for a year recently (not the best part -- El Paso ugghhh) and was always amazed by the number of people with tattoos AND the number of tattoos on each person. Back in San Diego you hardly see them. And that's fine with me.
