The researched I have done on this subject seems to suggest that the risk is significantly lower... If you go to med help a forum, where disease specialist doctors answer questions, you can see there answers to these type of questions. Here is an example:

I am not going to argue with anyone regarding the safety or risk involved in stripper slides and STDS.

We are involved in a risky endeavor here. No matter how safe we try to be, there is always some body fluid exchange. We can hope that the chemicals in our saliva and in our stomachs destroys some of the possible germs, bacteria, viruses, etc. Probably does.

We can hope that there are no tears in our skin that allow body fluid exchange. As an engineer who works in and around a lot of equipment, I always have some type of cut or scrape. (EDIT: on my hands, of course, not junior.)

We are playing a form of Russian Roulette here. Sure our odds are much better. With a six-shooter, they have a 1 in 6 chance of catching lead poisoning. Here, our chances of catching an STD are effected by the health of our partner, always an unknown risk, by the accidental or incidental amount of body fluid exchange, and then, if those issues present, we have the roll of the dice that we might or might not catch something.

Risk is there, we each have to decide how much we are willing to accept, and act accordingly. I continue to believe that in most cases the ladies have a higher risk of catching an STD than the guys in most of these encounters, disregarding the fact that most ladies see a lot more guys than the guys see ladies. (Ladies are spinning the proverbial chamber on the STD revolver a lot more times than most guys.)

Assuming no penetration, assuming no activities like SIP, I would feel, from an engineering perspective and not a medical perspective, that the risk of STD transmission in a SS is significantly less than BBFS for the lady, somewhat less for the guy. If male ejaculation occurs during the activity, the risk to the lady more closely would approach BBFS.

BBFS is PENETRATION sex without a cover, now yes, there is minimal penetration of the lips opening to slide along the side of your shaft, quit making cuts on your dick and you will not have to worry about STDs!
