Let's start with a few lessons:

1. There are multiple forums here. This forum is for writing reviews. Your thread is a question, probably belongs in the coed forum, maybe in the ISO forum, but not in a review forum. (Not alert worthy, but still rates a concern.)

2. It is inappropriate to post a private message. Private messages are just that, private, and should not be posted on the board. If you read the rules (which I have never gotten around to actually reading), you can get points, put on probation, or banned for revealing a private message. Exception would be to forward said message to a mod if you think it is inappropriate.

3. This is a whore board. (Sorry to be so blunt, but trying to save some words.) In general, providers and hobbyist are trying to meet here to fulfill certain fantasies and certain monetary obligations. So, most ladies assume guys are here to meet, vice versa. It is not unusual for people to exchange marketing pms, etc. Some people think it is inappropriate, others like the ladies who are a bit more forward in their approach.

If you don't like the marketing approach, then make a mental (or a written) note to avoid that provider. I would suggest that a return PM telling her to jump in the lake is not in your best interest, better to just slip away. If you must reply, just let her know that you are just here looking, and haven't decided what you want yet.

4. How would I react to a private message when I had just joined, when I had no reputation here, and not passed any screening? I would ignore or just reply with a no thank you. Now, having been here a while, knowing a few ladies, if I got a pm like that, I would likely do some research, and then decide if I wanted any further contact with said person.

5. Final thoughts,
a. Read the stickied post at the top of some of the forums, learn the rules.
b. Read the posts in the forums, learn your way around here, learn who to avoid, who to enjoy, don't be a cyber troll.
c. After you feel comfortable, decide if you want to experience this hobby, or if some other hobby like scuba diving, parachuting, bungie cord falling, would be more enjoyable, less expensive, and much less risky for you.
d. If none of us can dissuade you from following the course of this hobby to your ultimate demise, then choose some ladies, have some visits, write some reviews, and be vewy, vewy careful.

DO not cut and paste from PMs. The general idea is OK, but not a cut and paste. As to her sending you the PM, its questionable Depends on your def of SPAM

I wasn't really sure which forum this should go in, and since I couldn't find any reviews of her, I posted it here as a request for reviews in a sense. Normally I would never post a PM, but Bubba got to the gist of it. I felt that a poster with zero posts and zero reviews, despite being registered for close to a year, insta-PMing me within hours of registering my account was effectively spamming.

In creating the thread I basically posited my belief that I'd been spammed; unless someone could prove otherwise. If I am wrong and she is not a spammer, then this thread allows her to clear her name and establish her legitimacy and she obviously deserves my profuse apology as well. If I am right, well all spammers deserve to be outed and should have no expectation of privacy.

Nonetheless, you are correct that I have likely violated tons of forum rules in the process! Mea culpa.
