Correct pronunciation of this site?

Had a great session with a local lady. We talked about this site and she pronounced it "Ekkie" and i always thought it was more like "Easy". Just wondered which is the correct one.

In the Main Discussion forum a while back. it said it was pronounced like BECKY and I thought that was kind of silly. Perhaps no one cared to think of all the names that it could be changed to--because now I've heard people make fun of it as ICKY.

I think it should be called "E-C-C" (saying each letter individually) as I hear others shorten it as such and I think it has more class.

I just call it "the boards" because "ekky" sounds strange to me and speaking out a 5 letter acronym is too much for casual conversation.

I suppose if I was outside Texas then "the boards" might be vague. But then again, how many providers outside Texas would immediately recognize what "ekky" referred to?

I always pronounced it as one would the letters "EC". I never heard "ekky" until I came back after my break and felt out of the loop. I thought there was some new board! I suppose I should have asked before I spoke.

Then again, as CoHorn stated, I don't own the board so I don't get to choose the name. I'm just glad the board, whatever it's called, is here. I also like John's choice of calling pronouncing it PUSSY. I just like that word!
