A place for a Dinner Date

My question to both you guys and gals is where is a good place to take a provider on a Dinner Date? I am not too familiar with downtown, but could probably make it work with a navigation system. Please let me know any all suggestions!! And thanks in advance

I am very fond of The Palm on E. Houston. I find myself going there for lunch and dinner sometimes twice a week. The steaks are wonderful. They close at 11, but I have never had any complaints from anyone I have taken.

Dinner date suggestion:

Bohanan's Prime Steaks & Seafood. Classic steakhouse, amazing service. Start with a couple of cocktails in the downstairs bar. www.bohanansbar.com
Then go upstairs for some of the best steaks in the entire state. If you really want to splurge, try the Akaushi beef (it's the same cattle that makes Kobe beef but produced in this country). It's a classic, old-school approach to a steakhouse but the staff here make it feel fresh. www.bohanans.com

I like the Lodge and Citrus suggestions, too. Miss Molly's suggestions are nice for a quick getaway, also.

As for Capparelli's, the one near downtown, on Main, is the best one. It's a neighborhood red sauce kind of place. I'd always go there before any chain.

Tribalneo...depends on which Caparelli's location you go, but if you're looking for a good Italian restaurant there are much better places...Piccolo's for one.

If you don't mind driving, go to New Braunfels and try the Huisache Grill awesome menu and very quaint and intimate atmosphere. http://www.huisache.com/

I've eaten at Crumpets and the food is beyond description. They aren't like most restaurants who simply seat you and get you out of there; They actually take their time on the courses and each one is an exquisite presentation. I suggest a Pinot Noir with the Beef Wellington if you go and the goose liver pate is delectable. The deserts are a matter of choice, but I found the Creme Broule is magnificent. I've eaten there many times and even took my parents there when they came to visit. Definitely a place for a romantic setting.......especially sitting out on the deck in the evening. I'd give it 4 out of 4.

Crumpets is amazing. Really enjoy going there. Excellent menu and they have events and entertainment on certain days. Really a great place to relax with someone and enjoy an outstanding meal.
