				Is there a trick?

Is there a trick to searching for words or terms that have only 3 characters? On a now-defunct escort site of which I was once a member short terms could be searched with with the use of a well-placed asterisk. Three ways to search for part of my name, for example, were "*Mae," "Mae*" and "*Mae*." I've tried to run searches on three-letter terms here on ECCIE using the same work-around, but I've not had any luck.

Is there a similar trick to searching short terms on ECCIE? I would love to know it if it exists.

Thanks in advance to all who answer.

				Searching for multiple terms

Is there a way to search for posts containing multiple words?

For example, if I want to find posts that contain bbbj and fbsm, how do I phrase the search to find only posts that contain BOTH terms, instead of all posts that contain only one of the terms.

I have tried putting a + in front of each word, a & in front of each word, and an "and" in front of each, but no luck.

Any suggestions?

My understanding is that it works like this.

To look for one and two you type "+one +two"
To look for one but not two you type "+one -two"
To look for for one or two you type "one two"

Try that and let us know the result.

The above does not work!

For example... When I type in "+ashley +kensington", I get a ton of searches that contain "ashley" alone.

				finding people with two names

I need help with that also. Many ladies have two names and if you put both in with a + or not, you got all the posts with either name. Using and in between also does not work

Thanks for trying Mokoa, but "+one +two" does not work. I have tried that and every other variation I can think of many times, but it still brings up any post with one of the words. I appreciate the help, but it is very frustrating.

I would like to hear any secrets too, any workarounds! It is a limitation of the search function here.

Whatever you're looking for needs to be in quotation marks, no + or - necessary.

Examples (remember the quotations): "winning life" or "charlie sheen" will search posts and only return posts with the two words together not posts with just winning or just life.

I just tried this with my name (since Ivy wont search on its own) and it gave me results of threads that had just IVY or just CHICK. So that makes it hard for me to find threads that have mention of me.

My search only yields 144 results. Each of them have your full Ivy Chick name in them.
