Covid19, while indeed serious for those in high risk groups, was less lethal than the influenza of 1918 at something less than 0,01%. We don't know for certain because the stats were intentionally skewed by not reporting the numbers of folks who recovered. The so-called Black Death of the 1400-1600s was around 30% lethal.

Thank you pxmcc for not throwing out obtuse figures like maggies are known to do. And the figures you give for the annum, Covid still takes a bite out of the population. How anyone can shrug it off seeing that it has been determined to have lowered the lifespan in such modern times is beyond me.
Shuck-and-jive or whatever. But feel free to identify your object of intention since it is like maggies to misdirect by not using specific nouns...like donny always talking about many people with tears in their eyes. We never know who these people are and they have been likened to figments of his imagination.
And comparing this pandemic to ones in pre-vaccination times, dare I say Dark Ages is likening apples to oranges. Not something a sound statistician or good medical person would do.
...but I could be wrong. Can any Covid naysayers show me some links that show the an organized vaccination program to treat the plague from yesteryear?
