Oof, looks like he's trying to use IEEPA again because some chucklefucks in the administration didn't pay enough attention to the Supremes

He can't use IEEPA that way. Greer is correct. It does give him a lot of other options though

The Court of International Trade appears ready to block parts of Tariffman's most recently revised tariff plan using 122 to implement his 10% tariff.

A big concern is where the balance of payment issue is to trigger the use of the power. No trigger, no authority.

A great look at the impacts of Tariffman's dumbest tariff plan across all 50 states. Its hard to ignore the negatives

It's embarrassing - and maddening. Anyone with a lick of financial sense predicted that his tariffs would negatively affect the economy - and here we are.

IEEPA refunds begin on April 20th. Time for the government to start handing back the illegaly obtained revenue to importers.

It's incredible that once Donnie stops making waves in the economy, things seem to stabilize. I'm so sick of the deliberate market manipulation and ppl in this administration and in politics getting rich from knowing when crazy pants is about to announce the next shoe to drop.

Madness indeed

The tariff fallout that’s been hanging over the auto industry is about to reverse course, at least in part. The automotive industry, like so many others, has been hit with billions of dollars in tariffs under the Trump administration, driving price increases across the market. Now, after courts ruled the President lacked the authority to impose them in the first place, a system to issue refunds will open next week.

President Trump long maintained thattariffs function as a tax on foreign countries, not importers or consumers. With US Customs and Border Protection preparing to roll out its new Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries (CAPE) system, that claim is quietly being undercut, as importers will now be refunded for tariffs they paid. The administration will also be required to return those funds with interest.
https://www.carscoops.com/2026/04/tr...ariff-refunds/

A quick reminder, Tariffman lied about who would pay the IEEPA tariffs while also being dead fucking wrong about their legality and impact.

As refunds are set to begin going out next week to importers, remember that those importers aren't just due the refund... they're also due interest.

It's been crystal clear, since 2017, that trump and his dipshit voters either don't understand how tariffs work, or they've been lying to themselves and others about how tariffs work.

It absolutely has to be one or the other.

Foreign countries don't pay the fucking tariffs. Ultimately, the consumers of the country imposing the tariffs do. How many times do we need to explain that very simple concept to these knuckle draggers?
