Is this event so big that everything in Minot is sold out?

Was on www.expedia.com and found rooms? Depending if you are using other such hotel booking sites they are limited to the number of rooms that they can provide so it seems like the hotel has no vacancies. Perhaps if your favorite hotel has a website maybe go there and book. Or the old fashion way call them. If no luck, come to Bismarck.

I am seriously considering coming to Bismarck, but it would only be a weekend visit. And I don't know how many get out on the weekends.

So I called a hotel this morning 'cause they had availability, asked how much the incidentals were, and they told me we don't charge an incidental fee, but do charge $375 a night for facility fees. WTF is that? (Not what I said, but you get where I am going) She said it goes towards maintaining our parking lot. Ok, what about the rooms? I see people say they are a bit run down, but who in their right mind can charge that much? I laughed in her face and said, " You can cancel my reservation right now." Hotels in Minot aren't that pleasant to stay in, then you tell me I have to come up with $750 on top of room charges? Something seems fishy to me!

That is hwy robbery. Sounds like they really don't want your business. I recently stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dickinson for $88 a night in December and Best Western Plus in Williston in Early February for $132 per night booked through Expedia. Both rooms had a double queen beds, swimming pools, saunas, and a fridge plus breakfast. Can't believe Minot is charging that much. Maybe they all went up because of upcoming tourist season? IDK? I'm unavailable next week. I just confirm this morning a 2 hour coffee date for next week with an old friend that is passing through. But I hope to have coffee with you KLN someday. Be Safe and watch out for the phony Benjamin's.

Ya, nsa, something isn't right with those rates? Sounds like the state fair rates? I was just at the Mainstay extended in Fargo this weekend at $168 and that is a nice motel??

KLN--I also, can not see you on a weekend, however, I would love 'share some coffee' with you as well!! Travel safe.
