The F-15E was shot down by a shoulder-fired missile... does that count as "anti-aircraft equipment"? Probably.

I don't think it's going to make much of a difference for the Iranians in the weeks ahead. They got lucky. We'll figure out how to mitigate and neutralize the threat going forward.

Remember Operation Desert Storm (1991)? Gen. Schwarzkopf saw a total of 39 coalition aircraft shot down in the first 37 days of the campaign. Compare that to Operation Epic Fury, now in its 37th day.

I suspect that the A10 was shot down by a shoulder launch. I’m very doubtful the F15 was. I suppose we'll get more details on that.
