Well, it's finally happened. So now we have helos flying low and slow over hostile territory. Regardless of political views we should all pray for the crew (and those conducting search operations).

The last thing we need is an American soldier dragged through Tehran or being interviewed by the Supreme Leader for TV.

It's the last thing Tehran needs also. If they are dumb enough to use these people for abusive propaganda, Trump and Kegsbreath will go totally fucking nuts and probably be provoked to committing blatant war crimes.

They already ARE committing war crimes. Trump keeps posting on Truth Social bragging about targeting civilian infrastructure in the Iran conflict. Most recently he posted: "Our Military, the greatest and most powerful (by far!) anywhere in the World, hasn't even started destroying what's left in Iran. Bridges next, then Electric Power Plants! New Regime leadership knows what has to be done, and has to be done, FAST!"
Deliberately targeting bridges and power plants would be a pretty clear definition of a war crime.

A lot of Iran's desalination plants are adjacent to or part of power plants.

what kind of weapons does Iran have that can take out an A-10? those things are practically flying tanks..

They are loaded with Titanium armor, but they fly low and slow, so they are not at all invincible.
So altogether, despite being "totally destroyed"...Iran took out FOUR aircraft yesterday. Two Blackhawks on Search and Rescue missions were struck by fire also, though they were able to make it to Iraq for safe landings.

I wonder how this happened?
President Trump said during his prime time address on Wednesday said there was "not a thing" Iran could do to stop potential strikes on oil infrastructure. "They have no anti-aircraft equipment. Their radar is 100% annihilated. We are unstoppable as a military force," he said.
I guess someone forgot to tell the Iranians.
