Actually that would be a crime. I had a friend that was arrested for necrophilia after his wife's autopsy revealed that he had sex with her after she died. At his trial he pleaded with the judge, "I didn't know she was dead. She always acted like that when we were having sex."

I used to worry about this until I discussed it with a medical examiner friend of mine.

Autopsies are designed to find cause of death, but they would not show "sex after death" in the way described unless there was specific forensic evidence of sexual assault.

Needless to say I’ve kept my night shift position at the nursing home and enjoy working here, especially on my 3:00 am rounds.
