Allow me to quote from the Texas Penal code:
Sec. 43.02. PROSTITUTION.
(a) A person commits an offense if the person knowingly offers or agrees to receive a fee from another to engage in sexual conduct.
Sec. 43.021. SOLICITATION OF PROSTITUTION.
(a) A person commits an offense if the person knowingly offers or agrees to pay a fee to another person for the purpose of engaging in sexual conduct with that person or another.
LE may try to scare you. They may try to get you to say something stupid. But absent some tangible proof of an agreement, you won't be arrested, and certainly won't be prosecuted.

Someone with more time than I have at the moment needs to pull up the web page published by a Fort Worth law firm addressing the current soliciting laws and their application here in Texas. Someone started a thread on the subject last year either here or on oh2, which included the link to the article.
One of the takeaways from that is LE will arrest you if you respond to an ad that describes sexual acts and prices, using the argument that you agreed to meet knowing that sex acts were being exchanged for money.
Facts matter, though, and getting arrested doesn’t necessarily mean you will get convicted if the case goes to court. That needs to be your second line of defense, since for most men just getting arrested has significant negative consequences. “You may beat the rap, but you can’t beat the ride” is the old saying that still holds true. Which is why you don’t want to be calling random chicks who advertise P4P thinking that couldn’t possibly be LE behind that explicit ad.

TinMan has made it clear - there is no guarantee with any site so just be wise and think with the correct head, the one on your shoulders.
Just to provide some insight on the stings, you are getting arrested by just showing up at the door. I didn’t even mention anything sexual in the text conversation. It’s not like in the past where they waited for you to hand the lady the money etc. Now you just get arrested at the door and you are not even told why you are being arrested. You get put in handcuffs and taken straight to jail with all the men that showed up right before you, like I said before they are rounding us up like cattle.
The devastating part especially for those that work for companies that do background checks yearly is that this will show up as a felony charge and will take years to get it of your record even if you win the case. Currently in the middle of this process and it’s the worst thing ever. My attorney said we can’t beat it because just showing up to an address provided by a phone number you obtained from an address on one of these sites is enough for them to arrest you. So if you show up you will be recorded showing up to the door and will get arrested as soon as the door opens. My attorney said they have thousands of these cases because the stings are just hearding in hundreds of hobbyists a day. It’s so stupid that the counties are dedicating that many resources to stings when there are real crimes out there that need further resources, but that’s a whole separate conversation.

What you describe doesn't happen when dealing with established, independent providers who maybe see 3-4 guys per day. You're talking about organized crime. Trafficking. AMPs. Agencies. Cartels. People who are answering ads on shady sites like List Crawler or Adult Search--featuring ladies who's citizenship status is often highly suspect--for a quick, down and dirty QV/BNG are playing with fire. Yes, there's always an element of risk involved, but there are obvious ways to minimize those risks.

The extremely devastating part is that the police will call your current employer to notify them of your arrest.

You are 100% correct when you say: "What you describe doesn't happen when dealing with established, independent providers who see 3-4 guys per day."
I maintain you will never get busted if you check these 3 boxes:
1) Provider must have a website.
2) Provider must have reviews.
3) Provider must operate out of a high-end hotel.
I'll wager the hapless mongers who got busted in those stings ... didn't check any of those boxes!
If you think about it ... what LE undercover is gunna have a website, reviews and operate out of a high-end hotel?
(I've rendezvoused with high-end K-Girls (they all had websites and reviews) who operate out of Hiltons, Sheratons and Double Trees ... over 100x all over NNJ ... it was always smooth sailing!
(I never even saw a cop car!)

I thought the parameters of this conversation were obvious, but I guess I need to clarify:
We are obviously talking about companions that are not reviewed etc. We are referring to hobbyist that are interested in seeing a new companion that they have not seen before or is not well reviewed. Thats why from my initial comment I mentioned to just stick to your regular and trusted companions. While all those adds on those sites may be enticing it carries a risk regardless of the site.

“Never” is too strong a word here in NTX, but generally you are correct that anyone that checks all these boxes is unlikely to involve you in legal problems.
But there is recent precedence in DFW that demonstrates that zero risk is not achievable. A K-girl outfit that met all of your attributes (the sole exception being they worked out of apartments vs hotels) was busted by local authorities a few months ago. Guys who frequented these ladies are still sweating it out since the investigation is ongoing and the agency required RW information for screening. Previous operations of a similar scope eventually did have LE contacting clients, although AFAIK no arrests were made.
Thanks in no small part to solicitation now being a felony in our great state, LE has become more aggressive in demand-side attention even in operations primarily focused on the suppliers, if only because the fear of a felony conviction has gentlemen much more likely to make a deal if they are caught (literally) with their pants down.

Here's another thing that a savvy, street-smart monger can use to LE-proof his hobbying!
Like I said ... all the K-Girls I hooked up with ...not only did they all have a website, reviews and operated out of high-end hotels ... they also a TikTok-like teaser video!
I maintain in the history of LE busts ... the undercover was never able to check these 4 boxes:
1) Website.
2) Reviews.
3) High-end hotel.
4) Teaser video.
(I can't see an LE undercover having a teaser video!)
Like I said ... I've hooked-up with high-end K-Girls at high-end hotels all over NNJ (over 100x)... it's always smooth sailing and cruise control!
Granted, the hobby environment is a lot more challenging in TX ..but a savvy, street-smart monger can still tip the scales of mongering success in his favor!
