So let me make sure I’m following this — an anonymous account on an internet message board posts vague, dramatic lines like ‘watch Iran,’ and years later we’re supposed to treat that as confirmed intelligence because a politician uses similar language?
That’s not proof. That’s taking broad, cryptic statements and retrofitting them to whatever is happening now. You could do the same thing with fortune cookies.
There’s still no evidence Obama secretly funded Iran’s nuclear program, no evidence of nuclear bombs planned on U.S. soil, no evidence Trump secretly blew up a North Korean mountain, and no evidence ‘Q’ was anything more than someone with a keyboard and an imagination.
At some point, it stops being research and starts being fan fiction. If we’re calling anonymous message boards classified intel now, the bar for evidence has officially hit the floor.
Sure sounds pretty deniable to me.
