That set the stage for what followed with President Trump. The Democrats put on another circus act . . .twice . . .and that went nowhere.
Unless there is video of a future president actually taking money fro an El-Chappo like cartel leader or selling out to the Chinese, I just don't see another impeachment for a few decades.
So . . .no impeachment for President Trump this time around . . .certanly no conviction.

Clinton was impeached for lying under oath. It doesn't matter why---that's a serious offense and people go to jail for it. He wasn't convicted because not one Democrat voted to convict.
Trump was also not convicted during his first impeachment because it was a partisan vote. Only Mitt Romney voted to impeach. During his second impeachment, if MConnell hadn't delayed the vote until after Trump was no longer President, there was a good chance he would have been convicted. Even then McConnell's argument wasn't that Trump was not guilty, but that the Senate didn't have the constitutional authority to convict him.
You mention selling out to the Chinese. That is exactly what US intelligence warned against about selling AI chips to the UAE. Not only did Trump take money in exchange for allowing the sale of sensitive technology, there was a valid concern about that technology ending up with China.
The AI chips that the US ok'd for sale to China last December are not as powerful as the ones sold to the UAE. Even that deal is sketchy because Trump did it in exchange for a 25% cut of the revenue, which is arguably an illegal tax.
