Default Current Impeachable Offenses by Trump

There was a comment in another thread that stated Trump has done nothing impeachable. I wanted to present at least one instance that has occurred during his current term.

Article II, Section 4 of the US Constitution:

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Bribery: Soliciting, accepting, or offering things of value to influence official actions.

Bribery is defined as being done directly or indirectly by either party.

Quote:
According to World Liberty Financial's structure as of early 2026, the company is primarily owned by the Trump family and a company tied to UAE royal Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which acquired a 49% stake on January 16, 2026. The platform was founded by Donald Trump, Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Barron Trump, and associates Steve Witkoff, Zach Witkoff, Zak Folkman, and Chase Herro. Donald Trump and Steve Witkoff are both now listed as "co-founder emeritus" on the company website.

Reports from The Wall Street Journal and subsequent coverage by CNBC, Forbes, and ABC News in early February 2026 revealed that an Abu Dhabi investment vehicle backed by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan purchased a 49% stake in World Liberty Financial for $500 million a few days before Trump's inauguration.

The Trump Family originally controlled roughly 75% of World Liberty Financial and, despite the sale of a 49% stake, still receives 75% of the revenue from WLFI token sales.

World Liberty’s disclosures show 75% of WLFI token sales flow directly to a Trump entity (DT Marks DEFI LLC), 12.5% to Witkoffs, and 12.5% to co-founders Zak Folkman and Chase Herro.

President Trump owns 70% of that Trump entity while unnamed family members own 30%.

A $2 billion investment was made on May 1, 2025, into Binance, a crypto exchange, by MGX using World Liberty Financial's USD1 stablecoin. MGX is a state-owned Abu Dhabi investment firm chaired by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Two weeks after the $2 billion investment the White House approved the sale of hundreds of thousands of Nvidia AI chips to the UAE, with a significant portion going to G42, an AI firm controlled by same Sheikh Tahnoon who backed the $500 million investment in World Liberty Financial just prior to Trump's inauguration.

US national security officials warned that the UAE serves as a, or a potential, bridge for technology to reach China, particularly via G42's past connections with blacklisted companies like Huawei.
Please note that Changpeng Zhao owns 90% of Binance, the crypo exchange that received the $2 billion investment by MGX using World Liberty Financial's token.

Trump pardoned Changpeng Zhao for money laundering on October 23, 2025. The pardon lifted restrictions, enabling him to return to the crypto industry.

Ten days later, in a 60 Minutes interview aired on November 3, 2025, Trump denied knowing who Changpeng Zhao was.

Still not impeachable. He can’t do anything wrong. However, if Biden and Obama did this, I would have wanted them removed from office

By the OP's standard, then Biden should had been impeached too while he was napping in The White House

Then why didn't James "Gomer" start impeachment proceedings? They had majority in the house

Because he's a lying, grandstanding shill and his "committee" produced nothing but MAGA dog-whistle propaganda. The last bullet point...which it would seem that the poster did not actually read...tells you all that you need to know. This was a failed attempt at typical MAGA what-aboutism.

Whataboutism and off topic.

I don't want to take the thread off topic, but the post explains itself---the investigation focused mainly on Hunter Biden and there wasn't any definitive evidence of receipt of value for influence of even speculated official actions.

If Biden committed bribery and there was evidence to convict, he should have been impeached and removed. No argument.

Trump received a $400 million jet from Qatar, which he gets to keep when he leaves office, but there was no apparent influence of official actions and Pam Bondi was quick to determine the gift was legal. No impeachable offense.

With World Liberty Financial and it's related tokens, Trump received value in exchange for an official act. Impeachable offense.

Bribery involves a quid pro quo. A cop can argue that he accepted $100 from a driver and still handed out a ticket. No quid.

So, if we accept what you say is true, what is the quid pro quo?

You know, like when Biden gave up the billion dollars for Ukraine dropping the investigation into Hunter. That was a quid pro quo.

Do you mean the investigation into Burisma focused on activities from 2010–2012, two years before Hunter Biden joined the company in 2014? Is that the one that was involved with Trump's first impeachment? That's off topic.

Here's a recap of Trump's World Liberty Financial quid pro quo straight from the original post:

What he said.

I too believe him to be innocent of any impeachable wrongdoing, BUT . . . .

I am thinking that President Trump has been chased down that rabbit hole before and now has some experience with the process and so on.

If he was to have done something that would put him at credible risk of prosecution, I would think that whatever evidence there might once have been quickly became part of his carbon footprint. The Mar a Lago raid came to nothing. Another such search will also, wherever they look.

Impeachment has become a joke, and a waste of time and taxpayer funds by both sides, in the current political climate.

Anyone who screams “Impeachment “ is an idiot…..right or left wing.

^^i disagree. Trump was 1 McConnell short of being convicted, as he should have been..

ICU, Mar-al-Lago was covered up by Trump appointee Aileen Cannon. talk about someone deserving impeachment, bigly..

if anyone not named Trump did that, they'd throw away the key..

and the worst AG ever, Merrick Garland, deserves equal blame for why Trump is not in jail for life.

Trump will leave voluntarily.

That is, when the people oust his majority and prosecute his rogue cabinet and his sycophants in Congress.

Cleanest exit strategy for him is not waking up one morning.

Maybe we won’t have to wait until 2027 for that.

I don't think it's a waste of time or money, even knowing the Senate will not convict due to partisanship. In my opinion, the lawmakers are obligated to call out wrongdoing of a President, especially one who consistently ignores the rule of law.

Even the Republicans in the Republican-led House of Representatives in Texas impeached Ken Paxton for bribery, abuse of public trust, and corruption. Unfortunately, but not unexpected, the Republican-led Senate refused to convict him.

Paxton is running a tight primary race against the incumbent, John Cornyn. I certainly don't want Paxton up in Washington with Ted Cruz representing Texas, so I hope his impeachment can be used to tip the scales in favor of Cornyn.

If and when the Democrats take the House in November, an impeachment of Trump may help sway Independents away from voting for a MAGA Presidential candidate in 2028 and maybe other MAGA candidates as well. That would mean time and money well spent.
