Rooster this shows that not all Democrats agree on everything in NYC. Mayor Mamdani must understand that there is a seperation between church and state in America and Western culture. Old Boomer and Gen-X Democrats have a right to be upset with what is happening in NYC with religion being shoved down the throats of everyone and the courts or Gov. Hochul should have stepped in by now. I can understand how long-term Democrats in NYC are pissed off at Democrat Mayor Mamdani's approach at putting church and state at the forefront of his leadership style.

It’s already been shown that it’s illegal to blare out the call to prayer at five in the morning. If that were happening then citizens could and would report it and then it would stop. But the truth is that it’s just not happening and you’re either mistaken or outright lying about it.

And as far as I know Mandami has created no laws or rules mandating any kind of islamic religion in the city. If you want to be pissed about the state mandating religious belief you should really be angry over the laws passed in Louisiana and Texas mandating the public display of the ten commandments in our public schools.

The Adhan broadcasts have been occurring since the start of Mayor Mamdani's term in January 2026.

The earliest Adhan broadcast is at 5 a.m.
