Most likely a lawyer will want you to get a decision from the EEOC prior to you engaging. Unless your case is a clear violation (most aren’t.)

Did they investigate and find in your favor or issue a “right to sue.” Those are very different.

That’s an odd stance for the EEOC. There are typically 3 outcomes: 1) Dismissal with Right to Sue, Investigation with no finding-Right to Sue, or Investigation with Finding-Right to Sue. They also have a mediation program, but very few employers are willing to agree to that.

I have only dealt with the intake person

she is the one who told me that and then once it was confirmed I had a case, she told me and investigator would contact me soon.

That makes more sense. Most lawyers are probably want you to get an EEOC decsion first before they accept you. They may however, agree to send some settlement letters to your employer if they think you have a good enough case. Employer may agree to settle if they think they are in the wrong. Good luck.

Recommend that you wait and see what the response is. Having dealt with many EEOC cases through the years, your lawyer will want 1/3 and you have done most of the work. Probably not much added value right now, I presume you no longer work there. They may well want a NDA, are you willing to do that?

Timmy,
Pitch is correct.
Although it appears that EEOC has issued a decision, wait for that offer to show up, then determine if you want an attorney (who will take a heavy percent)

I am fine with that
I really want my job back with the many years of senority I had
I was a federal contractor, I was fired by one upper boss(not HR) because she didnt like me
I have a number of run in with with her that showcase how she targeted and harassed me
even though HR repeatedly gave me awards for being a superb employee
few months after I was wrongfully fired, she was fired for unknown reasons,
I have 1 other employee who was also targeted/harassed by her, who just got mad and quit

I havent heard from the EEOC investigator since January, I think.
I reached out to him, as I Have all those examples via emails from her saved.
I called him, nothing at all
is eeoc closed or something?

THe current contractor is set to leave august 27, getting my seniority back means a lot of PTO.
plus I was let go before I was 100% vested, so they took like half my 401k match or something,

I have worked under 6 other contractors at this job, never any issues
its just one/2 mangers who harassed me.
Some people just dont like me. but most do,
HR likes me cause I am awesome,

in your dealing with EEOC, do have a lawyer you would recommend?
