The last thing I'd want is for your wife or kids to discover is some nasty fucking pictures or videos of you and some fucking transvestites in some seedy fucking bayside motel doing whatever you sick-fucks do. Just throwing that out there if you need it. Ha! Call when you get the chance. ".

His son returns my call, shortly thereafter and informs me of his passing.

Yes, that's some pretty sick humor. That's also one of the things I'll miss most. We would always find a way to bring some humor into whatever the situation...there were no limits.

Capt. Pants, I used to fuck with him every year when he would finally break out the shorts. To the point that he asked me to stop. I also went fishing with him some. Evidently he took your advise on deleting everything. His wife messaged me from his phone to tell me of his passing. It was real early in the morning here.

Once I got moving I went to messenger because I had sent him a lot of things in the last few years that would not be pleasant for anyone in the family to see. Everything was gone so he did take your advise.

Speaking of El Gato where is he these days? I know RJ retired and moved away. I have lost all contact with him. I remember a playoff game that they had a bet on where we watched at my house.

RJ won so Smith told him "RJ, I am going to pay you with a check, a lottery ticket that won $5, a Wal Mart gift card with $12 remaining, and 3 of these beers I have left."

I was at his house one day a few years ago and we were discussing getting old. He told me his doctor had told him, "you need to quit smoking, cut back on the beer, and lose some weight."

Smith looked at him and asked, "what else you got?"

About two weeks in I called him out
(Asked if he was Mr Smith haah)
He messaged me and asked me how I knew.
He had a consistent personality.

Hey knew a lot of the guys from the board. We had several get togethers at one of the local places that also has a restaurant. VIP room was often full of board members. He was always fun to be around.

I remember RJ asking how he could spell so bad with those posts. Several of the providers messaged him to hook up. I miss him so much already, I talked to him every week even though I now live in Asia I have several USA phones. He would call me on his way to work which is 6 or 7 PM here. He had a great life and was very successful.

Well, if they had a "celebration of life",for ol' Mr Smith 111, be it this morning or at any other point in time, I'm certain it would have been really nice. Prolly would have a lot of family and friends sharing stories and memories...They If they invited people up to share some of their favorite memories with everyone there, you would would have seen my best 'deer-in-the-headlights/church mouse impersonation. Not from not having any stories, rather, not having any for public consumption. Nope. Taking them to the grave with ke.

Yeah, if they ever had such a celebration, I'm sure it would have been really nice...I might have even shed a tear or two...and I can picture him looking at me, letting out one of his bigger than life's laugh, saying,"fucking pussy". LoL!

Mr Smith and I have remained friends up until last week. We were supposed to meet for breakfast soon but that didn't happen. Still can't believe he's gone. We would reminisce about our times in the hobby. He and I would say that our experiences would make a good HBO movie. And there were a lot of stories. Maybe I'll post some of our escapades from here in Corpus, to the RGV, to Laredo. He and I had some good times together in this hobby. I lost a friend last week. Yes he would always say that I was going to out live both him and ThatGuy. Smh. RIP Mr Smith
