Zohran Mamdani has only been the Mayor of New York City for a month, and on his watch, at least a dozen homeless people have died in the freezing cold after Mamdani implemented a policy prohibiting the clearing of homeless encampments and forcing sheltering. Now trash is piling up in the city,
Mayor Mamdani’s Gracie Mansion noticeably trash-free as UES neighbors drown in 8-foot piles of garbage.
Mamdani has meanwhile crowed that he can’t “imagine how it could get better’’ in the city, even as more and more New Yorkers are blasting the lack of “collectivism” in the Big Apple.
The mayor’s Upper East Side neighbors are being forced to trudge through garbage-plagued streets, roaming rodents and mounds of snow tainted with dog pee a full week after Winter Storm Fern.
Meanwhile, Mamdani is bragging that things have never been better in the Big Apple.
“I’m new to the job. I know the burdens will get heavier, but right now I struggle to imagine how it could be better,” Mamdani said, according to The New York Post.
Meanwhile, New Yorkers are already fed up with Mamdani.
couldn't make it one month before the protests begin ..
Outside Gracie Mansion with a bullhorn, the hecklers said, "That's right, we know about your mom," a reference to her name appearing in some of the Epstein files released last week.
"Now listen, we were with you, Zohran, we voted for you, Zohran. We advocated for you, Zohran. We advocated for you!" the heckler said. "You ain't do nothing but get up in there and lie to us. You lied, Zohran! Shame, Zohran! Shame!"
The Department of Sanitation said "limited collection" was underway as the city works to clean up after the snowfall.
But the storm was a week ago, and crews are still playing catch-up while trash continues to cover the sidewalks and streets.
But still...we got even more...MAGA infatuation with NYC.
And now...yer fixated on their...garbage?
Too funny!
Almost as funny as how much time you spent cuttin-and-a-pastin this garbage about....garbage!
Please continue. We'd rather have you posting about this kind of garbage than the other garbage that you post!

you think 12 people who froze to death because Mamdani wouldn't deploy resources to bring them into shelters is funny?

interesting.
... That wise soothe-sayer Australian bloke named Confushiss
had a rather trite saying:
"You get the Government that you deserve."
... Ergo --- The New Yorkers surely deserve Mamdani. ...

He's beating this straw drum again. Already a thread where he whined about it while ignoring such in other places. Like when pigs play in pooh, they love to spread it.

so what happens in America's largest city .. by far .. doesn't concern you because you don't live there.
"The warmth of collectivism": Maybe Mancini thinks New Yorkers should come together and warmly collect all the piled up snow and refuse. . . . .together and with warmth.
If you’re dumb enough to sleep outside in freezing temperatures, well, call it Freedom mixed with some natural selection.

given that it is my opinion that most homeless are homeless by choice you have a point.
the main point of the article is that New York which has long been accustomed to harsh winters is struggling under Mamdani to remove trash, a week after the storm. it should also be noted that maintenance workers have been keeping Gracie Mansion free of snow daily. and trash. seems a bit hypocritical for a socialist yeah?

You didn't. I'm the one who brought up Mamdani's policy of killing homeless New Yorkers over in the Help for TDS thread. Precious_b is in such a hurry to post in every thread he loses track of who said what.
There is a difference in 'bring to a shelter' and 'force to a shelter'

Ok, let's try this. Suppose you have an autistic brother who is mentally impaired to the point of being incapable of making rational decisions. Your brother climbs up the George Washington Bridge and is poised to jump into the Hudson River. The NYPD shows up. Would you prefer the NYPD to: 1) snatch your brother off the bridge and bring him to safety, or 2) ask him politely "do you really want to do this?" and when he says "yes" leave him alone?
