in a rush to go all-in on fission nuclear, is Trump putting all of us, including plant workers, at risk?

and if anthropogenic climate change is a myth as Trump claims-which of course he knows is a bald-faced lie-what's the rush on fission nuclear?
while i think fission nuclear has a place-temporarily until we can get commercial-grade fusion nuclear up and running-it's worth remembering that fission nuclear is always just a few screwups away from widespread, regional environmental disaster: Chernobyl, 3 Mile Island, and Fukushima are all excellent cases in point. especially Fukushima should give us pause. why in the fook go weaken nuclear safety rules right now in 2026? these decisions never look good in retrospect after the shit hits the proverbial fan, which it most likely will..
this appears to tie in to the power hungry AI data centers. should this process and these new rules for accelerated permitting without public comment be more closely scrutinized? or should we just "trust Trump" and his DOE to do this stuff safely without any oversight or structured review process to speak of?
