Default The Arctic Storm weather report

Looking at the latest hourly weather report it will start raining this afternoon and the temperature will drop to freezing 28-32.

The rain will become freezing and won't let up until early Sunday morning while in the meantime, the temperature will continue to drop into the 10's.

That means that rain once it hits the ground or the power lines etc it will freeze up and form ice.

Ice is heavy and more rain on top of it means more layers of ice and more weight.

Weight brings down power lines.

Pray we won't have power outages.

Also had 10-18 mph wind which will make those 10s to 20s temperature feels even colder if you happen to be outside.

The newsies doing the ski is falling stuff is boring.

Impact on power lines have become the trigger of my PTSD. I lost over $5k in pool equipment in 2021, so all my prep time goes into making sure I can get to the plugs and drains, and keeping them dry enough that I can pull those if I need to.

Since the liquor cabinet and pantry are fully stocked, and firewood delivery secured, I could give a flying F about the road conditions now lol.

The worst for us is over.

No more sleet, mixed, snow precipitation for us but low temperatures will stay in the 10-20 with wind chill factors in the single digits until Wednesday.

Tuesday is the first day I am seeing we will have a high above freezing for a few hours during the day before it drops back to below freezing again overnight.

So it will be a few days before we thaw out but the roads seems to be okay with no traffic jams, gridlocks, accidents but I think that's because there is no one venturing out on the roadways.

Thankfully that we didn't get this
