I had heard about these scams on here mainly. But had never had one happen to me until the other day. And I figured out the set up. I had chatted the day before with a person about hooking up. But she wanted a deposit which I thought about since the pics were so hot but declined. Then the next day I get multiple calls from a San Jose number and all kinds of threats etc. Video sent of a guy in a mask I didn't watch it. But let the buyer beware. All kinds of scams out there.

True fact in Texas, you can hire an escort - go to a nice hotel room, bring a nice camera/tripod/light setup for "photos" Take a bunch, have sex with her afterwards (no photos of that) and it is LEGAL.

This is incorrect. Texas penal code 43.021:

A person commits an offense if the person knowingly offers or agrees to pay a fee to another person for the purpose of engaging in sexual conduct with that person or another.

No money has to exchange hands in order for them charge you with solicitation (a state jail felony). All that matters is the agreement. You could, theoretically, be charged from nothing more than text messages.
