You mean she's made money while in Congress? Do you know her salary? It's the same as everybody else's. Unlikely she started with as much money as, say, most any white male in the Congress.

Does that make them bitches too? (Please don't answer)

It sure seems you've been bias rage whining...

Yeah, the CONFIRMATION-FUCKING-BIAS is skewing towards the extreme here.

She didn't come from any money. Started as a bartender and waitress. Here's a summary of her net worth, compiled by Search Assist AI:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Net Worth

Current Financial Status

Estimated Net Worth: Between $3,003 and $45,000
Assets: Includes a 401k pension plan
Debts: At least $15,000 in student loans

Context

Ocasio-Cortez is considered one of the least wealthy members of Congress, with a maximum net worth reported at around $30,000.
Claims of her having a net worth of $29 million are false and have been debunked.

Financial Disclosure

Ocasio-Cortez's financial disclosures are publicly available and provide insight into her financial situation.

The idea that she is somehow "corrupt" from these expenditures is nothing but a targeted attack. I'll bet hers are pretty modest in comparison to the rest of Congress, when it comes down to it.

Targeted attack by those who fear her, which includes most of the posters in this forum.

Especially those incapable of researching any of the bullshit they post.

I don't know if I'd support her against someone like Shapiro, Kelly or even Newsom. But if she was the nominee, I'd be all in.

Oh. and. Dear.

I guess "hypocrisy" and "right" being used sent the OP off the deep end.

I hope he learns from this and takes the advice I gave on this thread to heart when he comes back.

Gentlemen of the Left, There's a severe double standard here. If George Santos had made junkets to Myrtle Beach to minster to the Log Cabin LGBTQ's, you'd scream bloody murder. Even if he shelled out his own cash to visit the local bathhouses while there. Why should AOC have a different set of rules? Her Congressional District is Brooklyn, not San Juan, Puerto Rico. You don't see Ted Cruz or Tony Gonzalez spending more time in Cuba and Mexico than Texas. Well, not Tony anyway. Ted admittedly was fond of passing time south of the border back during COVID.

While probably not illegal, she shouldn't be timing her visits so the taxpayer picks up her airfare for a Bad Bunny concert. That shows unbelievably bad taste by the way. Shakira or Mana I could understand. But Bad Bunny? Insane!

I say this with some regret. Remember that $19,000 "eat the rich" dress that AOC picked up for a song and a dance and wore to the Met Gala where she hobnobbed with the rich and the chic? She got a lot of flack for paying a steeply discounted price. Well, she looked unbelievably hot in that outfit, and she should know it pisses me off. I figured she'd probably wear it the night we finally consummate our relationship because she knows the best sex is angry sex. I guess I can kiss that goodbye now that this Bad Bunny shit has shaken her up.

No, no, no! If you put a gun to my head and told me I had to vote for Trump or AOC, I'd pick Trump, even though I love that woman. She'd take us down the same road as Francois Hollande took France. She's to the left of any current European head of state I can think of. She may be sex on a stick, but she could do a lot of damage in four years.

Thank you Tiny. I disagree.

While I dont believe she’s electable, she is nowhere near the danger you so paranoidly claim she is, and certainly not in the same school as the entirety of the Turd Reich, let alone the same class.

I could not find much on the actual accounting for the trip and the context of the hotel expenditures.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/...215007670.html

The way it is being portrayed in the OP's statement reeks of propaganda. A hotel penthouse suite is different from holding a ballroom event with food. Trump knows this, come on maga.

... Thank you, Tiny. ... I surely agree with you on AOC.

... Though I also agree-with that Mort fellow with his comment
on AOC - if she were here - there'd be a long line of randy blokes
looking to see her! .. ... And on THAT score - it's GRAND
that AOC is a Socialist --- it's ALL Free! ... ...

More damage than the Trump administration has done in its first year? I highly doubt it.

I don’t want to get into a Trump bashing rant so I’ll just say this.

AOC is the MAGA / Republican bogeywoman. Bernies policies are as socialist as hers but since she’s a woman the misogyny inherent in a significant number of the right comes out and vilifies her relentlessly.

The hypocrisy is very much on the people who vilify her while completely ignoring the Trump debacle we are living through every single day.

Tiny, if AOC were president, Donald Trump would finally have to pay federal income taxes like the rest of us. who knew..

life would be so unfair for poor billionaire DJT. fyi, last year he paid less in federal income taxes than my secretary. you really think that's ok?

do you really believe the working man in America isn't getting screwed? and do you really believe it doesn't need fixing?

She's awfully far to the left Yssup. If she were elected it would be in a huge blue wave, and Congress would be controlled by people who would make my favorite ex-Democrat, Krysten Sinema, look alt Right. I absolutely could see the USA making the same mistakes that certain countries in Europe did before their voters saw the light and swung back to rationality.

Trump will be gone in a little over three years. Even if he were so inclined (and I don't believe he is), American institutions would never allow him to make the USA a fascist state. He'll go down in history mostly for his comedic appeal. What kind of bozo would try to overturn an election that he clearly lost? He's done some damage IMO with his tariffs and by putting people like Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem and Greg Bovino in charge of immigration and immigration enforcement. And he's certainly hurt my pocket book. But AOC et al would fuck me over a lot worse than Trump. It's my vote we're talking about and I'd vote for Trump in a "bullet to the head" scenario. I'm not going to tell them to pull the trigger as long as I'm sober.

In any event I guess this is mental masturbation, as you don't get the death penalty for refusing to vote. And there's always a Libertarian candidate.

Hey pxmcc, I think he'd figure out a way to avoid the tax, even with AOC as president. Recall that back when he was a Democrat he wanted an Elizabeth Warren style wealth tax.

I don't believe getting screwed by the federal government is a function of income or occupation. The majority of us get screwed. Yes it needs fixing. AOC's initial solution would be to screw the rich. But the rich don't have enough money to pay for her Green New Deal.

So that leaves two alternatives. The first alternative is that everyone pays at high rates, around 40% of pre-tax income, like what happens in European welfare states. Actually the rate would probably have to be higher than any in Europe, because AOC's agenda is bigger.

Or there's the second alternative. The country implements AOC's beloved Modern Monetary Theory, inflation eventually spikes sky high, and we end up like Argentina or Brazil in years past, or Venezuela today. In other words, as a banana republic.

Getting back to Yssup's point, I believe the probability of the USA becoming a banana republic would be greater under AOC than Trump. Therefore if forced under the barrel of a gun to vote for one or the other, it would be Trump.

OK, that kind of makes sense. I'd add that Bernie's a grandfatherly figure, and less corrupt than most, which adds to his appeal. Like AOC, he's not the brightest bulb on the planet or he'd realize his economic policies would make America like France or worse off. But he really knows how to play the self-righteous sanctimonious Democratic-Socialist card. I think I addressed the rest of your post above.

Tiny I agree with most of what you are saying. I think it would be a mistake for Democrats to look at AOC as being the answer in 2028. As with Trump, she will have her base but will that win her an election? Doubtful. She is too far to the left for me.

But we haven’t addressed the elephant in the room…

Is she a fucking criminal like Trump?

Maybe a far left politician, but a felon? A murderess? A serial liar? A scofflaw?

The normalization of Trump’s behavior and criminality is what allows discussions like these to “make sense.”

I may not support her positions, but I would no longer be ashamed of my country.

That so many of you aren’t now is evidence of said normalization.

In the real world I won't vote for a candidate with character issues, let alone one who tried to steal an election. But I'm not going to vote for one like AOC either. I probably agree with her more often than not on social issues and foreign policy, but she's absolutely dead wrong about economic policy. And would make the USA into a second rate, much less prosperous country if she got her way.
