Well, seems what was plainly true has been confirmed.
Quote:
The Pentagon's watchdog has concluded that U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth risked putting American troops in danger when he shared sensitive information on the messaging app Signal earlier this year,CNN reported Wednesday.
In a report set to be published Thursday, the network reported, the DOD's Inspector General said Hegseth's messages on planned strikes in Yemen contained information which was still potentially marked as classified when he pressed send.
After all the denials we finally get to the truth. I do expect Heggy to avoid taking responsibility and that will just show he's not fit to lead

Biden, Milley and Austin didn’t take responsibility for Abbey Gate where soldiers died and many more injured.
The Abbey Gate bombing occurred on August 26, 2021, during the evacuation from Afghanistan, when a suicide bomber from ISIS-K detonated an explosive device at Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport, killing 13 U.S. service members and around 169 Afghan civilians. This tragic event highlighted the chaotic nature of the U.S. withdrawal and raised significant concerns about security and vetting processes for evacuees.
No one got hurt in your made up “scandal”. Hegseth is still there and isn’t leaving.
Irrelevant, Bam. Pointing at other bad examples isn't an excuse for him making a mistake, pretending he didn't make it, letting others take the fall for it and lecturing others on responsibility.
Whether someone got hurt or not doesn't invalidate him inappropriately sharing classified info. I don't expect him to be a man or a leader. I don't expect his boss to hold him accountable.

I am delighted that we have the truth
It’s entirely relevant. Look, you can keep clutching on to pipe dreams that never turn out. Keep jerking yourself a soda. You do you.
I’m sorry bambino but HDGristle is right about Hegseth. The man made a stupid mistake because he didn’t have the experience or common sense necessary to realize that talking about confidential military secrets on a group signal chat was both ill advised and possibly illegal.
The question remains is will there be any accountability. I don’t think the President will remove him from office and I’m not sure that congress has the backbone to do it either.

Not irrelevant at all. Especially when the mistake is a molehill, and the other bad example is a mountain.
Your MO is getting stale, Gristle.
You can always be counted on to blow every minor slip-up by the Trump administration out of proportion, while sweeping the Biden team's far more costly & grievous foreign policy blunders under the rug.
Thread has nothing to do with Biden, his team or their mistakes, though.
So while I know you both would like to focus on anything other than Heggy's fuckups, that's where my focus will remain in this thread.
At long last, we have some truth about Signalgate.
Do you acknowledge that Heggy violated Defense Department regs? That he exercised poor judgement? That he mishandled classified data? That his opsec wasn't clean?
Its OK to admit he fucked up. No need to deflect or engage in whattaboutism. PBS knows the answer
