Default Lincoln vs Omaha

Is there any difference is coming to Lincoln vs coming to Omaha?

I love Omaha, it’s one of my favorite places to visit.. but I am unsure if going to Lincoln is considered different than Omaha as they’re so close together?

Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Kati

Lincoln from my view is just a slightly smaller version of Omaha. It is a little different but not much. The Haymarket District is really cool like the Old Market. There is a ton of good places to eat. Also if you like museums, the Omaha area has a bunch of nice ones. Morrill Hall on campus is a wonderful museum. It is mostly science and natural history also some on the native tribes. It has as I recall the largest collection of mammoths in the US and maybe the world.

Omaha is a small city and Lincoln is a big small town. Kind of how many see it from around the state. Many small town kids go to Lincoln for college and get jobs and stay there keeping more of the small town feel.

The Omaha MSA is just at 1M, and Lincoln is 350k. If you were planning to spend 4-5 days in the area, I would suggest spending one of them in Lincoln. If not, many in Lincoln are willing to make the trip to Omaha for the right event.
