The red text is misleading. People in all income brackets have ways of avoiding tax. The USA has one of the most progressive tax systems in the world. If you were to ascribe some reasonable portion of the government's tariff revenue as borne by consumers, it still would.
Levianon has some out of the box ideas. I agree with some and disagree with others. But he posts less rage bait than most here. I'm not sure he's serious when he says Biden stole our money and Trump gave it back. Obviously the government, including presidents, giveth and the government taketh away. And often we're collectively left worse off for it.
Interesting thoughts about the tariffs. I dislike them as much as you do. I don't think they're associated with socialism or communism though. True socialist and communist states do restrict imports, but more commonly through their command and control economies. Through the course of American history, going back to the 1850's, Republicans generally have favored tariffs more than Democrats. I agree with the Democrats on this one.
