I am very adamant about things being fair and equal when it comes to capitalism. I don't have a problem when there is an equal playing field, but I also see the needs for strong safeguards against things like monopolies, consumer protections and limiting things like the amount of interest that any loan company can charge. If that makes me a socialist so that predators don't benefit.- then call me a socialist.
larger companies like Amazon and Sams, WalMart etc. are like a plague in america- they have done more damage in the name of capitalism and greed than any banks; When mainstreet America used to be a great place, it's now tumbleweeds and empty store fronts. So with that said- I think that capitalism has it's place, but it's not the end all- and it certainly doesn't protect the little guy or those on mimimum wage, single parents, or young families. It literally destroys most of them. Just as mr. 50 yr mortgage what it would be like to buy a house at 30 and pay it off when youre 80. Such fucking nonsense- and all in the name of protecting capitalism vs. creating solutions for those already mentioned above.
FYI- I'm a registered REP, and I vote split tickets most of the time, but I believe in accountability and safeguards. I know...super radical right?
