Hey Ripmany, That doesn't qualify him as a Communist. But it adds credence to my theory that Trump's a Democrat. This $2000 per person sounds a lot like the key component of Democrat's inflation-igniting American Rescue Plan in 2021. And remember he and Nancy Pelosi tried to ram another $2000 payment through Congress in December, 2020, only to be stymied by McConnell and Senate Republicans.

People throw the words communist and dictator around a lot. Most have never left the United States. My wife lived under a true communist dictator in Romania. The stories she told showed genuine fear. Her Godfather died under very suspicious circumstances. Because of that, her father had heart issues due to the stress he was under after losing his best friend. We are not even close to that world here.

I agree about New York City, but the current governor is up for reelection, and she will keep him under her thumb. The mayor-elect can't raise taxes without Albany's approval.
