Tim Burchett doesn’t want the documents released in full. He wants them released after examination and redaction. Unfortunately releasing a set of redacted documents will just spread misinformation and promote a conspiracy mindset. I say Let it all out there completely unredacted and in full. Maybe that’s why the Democrats blocked it. They don’t want to wait for the redaction process Burchett is looking for.

“ I want the files released but it's got to be done the right way," Burchett said, adding he wants the names of victims redacted ‒ a process he says will take longer than the petition would allow.
"Let the lawyers go through it and remove the innocent names that don't want to be disclosed," Burchett said.
Though Burchett cosponsored the bill to force the Department of Justice to release its records, he balanced his calls for transparency with his support of Trump, who has ties to the disgraced financier and accused sexual abuser.
"(Those who signed the petition) want to skip the process and I get it," Burchett said. "If I felt like we weren't going to release it, then I'd be there to do it. But that's not the case. It's going through the proper channels. There's just a lot of pages and a lot of people involved."
