Default How many forum Republicans believe Tuesday election result are a rebuke of Trump

NJ, VA, NY, CA...........all favorable to Democrats

Reports already mentioning this is a precurser of what the mid term elections will look like.

All because of the failings and actions of the Trump administration.....correct ?

No...democrats win elections in blue strongholds....wow! What a surprise! It is surprising that the democrat party didn't expel the socialist in New York City. It is not surprising how little value democrats place on the lives of children already born in Virginia.

Look at the margin of victory in those blue states. Trump did a lot better last year in those states. Now, his very presence is back to being the albatross it was after a year of his first rule.

Virginia voters - much of whom are in DC suburbs - sent a clear message to the hill.

All Trump said was "Trump wasn't on the ballot."

He was.

Shock headline: blue candidate wins in blue state. The fact that you’re even writing about it at all is the interesting part. Why was it even taught to be close?

The fact that Dems are breathing a sigh of relief that they didn't lose New Jersey tells you everything you need to know. This means nothing and this isn't going to help the flailing Dem party come midterm time.

Let's see ... what was the margin in New Jersey? Not quite sigh worthy. More of an ass kicking up and down, against Trump's hand-picked candidate.

Yeah, I don't think anybody saw that coming.

Unless MAGA does something seriously good for everybody, the flailing won't be from the Democratic Party. Continuing the economic hardship to satisfy Trumpf's ego ain't good.

This is what a landslide looks like.

Not the presidential election of 2024, which was a narrow victory. But some still insist it was a landslide.

"Hand picked candidate"? Now that's a lie.

The battleground is the swing states...and in 2024 they all went to Trump. Sounds like a landslide to me.

There was a LOT of posturing on MAGA-friendly websites that NJ and VA were in play...and, obviously, they were not, after everything was said and done. If there was any slim chance to flip CA back to a red state, that pretty much disappeared when Prop 50 passed. I don't think it was a rebuke of Trump, as so much as, a general frustration that a Congress, Executive, and Judiciary controlled by one political ideology can't seem to get it together and enact the change they were elected (or appointed) to do.

That’s another way of saying it was Trump and MAGAs fault without directly naming Trump.

Safe move!

I agree. People are pissed at Washington and the policies of the Trump administration. Of course there are no policies that aren’t Trump. There is no Congress tht isn’t Trump. The Supreme Court is Trump.

But we agree on your post.

This is being discussed in many places, not just this political forum The discussions are not about how close the elections were. The discussions are about what forecast this has on the mid terms. Why do you need to mention I am even writing about it ?

Also, a lot of Dems won in places they previously lost, Ohio, Penn, Mississippi. Many of the seats were thought safe red.
