Once again, STATES can decide to provide care in whatever way they choose for their citizens. So if poor ass Mississippi wants to allow folks without insurance to die or only treat at the ER, that’s a Mississippi choice. I’m ok with it. I wouldn’t live there but that’s my choice. If California decides to provide gold standard insurance and care to its citizens, good for them, that’s a choice for the state legislature.
Regardless, Trump and republicans are lying in this discussion because otherwise they have no argument.
One thing is true - PEOPLE blame the republicans for THIS shut down and no matter how many time Pravda Fox News tries to convince the public otherwise, the majority of PEOPLE will see through the Republican lie and they will eventually cave. I’d prefer they didn’t. Hell I’d respect them if they came out and said that healthcare impedes our tax cuts so we can’t put that money back. The whole - illegals - lie isn’t working and won’t.

But they aren't using THEIR money. They're using federal reimbursements to fund goodies for illegals. As in American taxpayer money. And pathetically trying to blame Republicans for the Schumer Shutdown 2.0. Laughable. Even the New York Times has 65% of people asked saying the DEMOCRATS should never have done this. Your side has lost. And just keeps digging in on demands you're NEVER going to get. You want illegals to get health care, YOU fund it. American citizens don't want to.

No side has "lost" yet. There is an impasse.
And it isn't just about the Medicaid cuts. It is just as much about extending the subsidies for the Affordable Care Act marketplaces. You know, those credits that make make health insurance cheaper for millions of Americans? Millions. As in 24 Million. People. Most of them in Red states that voted for Trump.
KFF estimates the average premium will go up 114 percent. Pricing a lot of people out. Doesn't matter who they voted for.
Speaking of percentages, also according to KFF, 78 percent of voters across the political spectrum are in favor of maintaining these subsidies.
Those all expired as of September 30. And the Republican controlled Congress had all fucking year to do something about it. And they didn't. And here we are. And there ain't no way that anyone believes their bullshit about "just pass a clean bill and we will deal with this other stuff later." They didn't deal with it before. Why would anyone believe they will now?

Agreed. Let the states and the local communities decide. Take the federal government out of the equation.
I'm proud of myself right now Blackman. My ceaseless efforts at educating you for a couple of years finally are paying off!

... That's correct - the states want the reimbursement money
once they spend it on providing health care to Illegals.
President Trump and the Republican leaders were SO RIGHT
to tell Schumer and the Dems to piss-off! ...

Federal dollars - illegals can’t get any federal subsidies for Medicaid.
Medicaid - states can choose to use their OWN tax dollars to provide services to whomever they like legal and illegal.
States - sovereign entities that are able to raise taxes and spend their own
Money without permission from the federal government
Medicare - federally run and administered - no illegals can’t receive Medicare or any Medicare related subsidies
Medicaid federal match or federal subsidized insurance (Obamacare) - no illegals can receive federal dollars.
Now use that little noggin of yours and put the above together.
Illegals don’t get and the democrats aren’t asking for illegals to receive federal dollars. What you’re repeating is simply a lie. Which is why all you can do is say the same thing over and over without providing any reference or explanation.
I never expected you to be able to prove your claim as you NEVER do because even you must know they are lies. You just can’t help yourself, like your master and lord, lying is what happens when you type or probably move your lips.

... All yer low-brow insults to me aside - you're NOT
being honest with this.
We're all aware that the Dems want the reimbursement money.
Newsom wants it for his Medi-Cal... And we keep hearing
from the lot of liberals that some o' the Big blue states
can fund themselves - Schumer Shut-down or no - but the
other blue states can't. ... Crikey! California could
barely survive after the wildfires - good thing that
President Trump was there to offour help.
So, President Trump is right - the Dems want money for
health care for Illegals - reimbursement money or even
direct payment if the Congress approves.
And THAT is why the Dems are holding out.
They didn't get their way.

Once again, it is ALSO THE FUCKING AFFORDABLE CARE ACT SUBSIDIES.
More people care about that, believe me. Like 78 percent of voters. Probably a lot of people you know and care about.

It hasn’t been very long, but life for 99% of the population hasn’t changed a bit since the government has “shut down”. If it wasn’t for the media playing it up nobody would even know it happened. It’s a dangerous precedent for the bureaucracy when such panic has no effect whatsoever on people’s lives. Whatever agencies or workers have been displaced, I say leave them that way.

Has Trump gone Coo-Coo cray-cray?!?
Imma beginning to worry about the man, the myth, the legend, President (again) Donald J Trump.
Look at this kooky schtuff he is closing the government over including:
– $3.6 million for cooking and dance workshops for male prostitutes in Haiti.
– Over $4.2 million for LGBTQ projects in the Western Balkans and Uganda.
– $6 million to subsidize Palestinian media outlets.
– $3 million for circumcision and vasectomies in Zambia.
– More than $833,000 for transgender people in Nepal.
– $500,000 to purchase electric buses in Rwanda.
– $300,000 to sponsor a pride parade in Lesotho.
Oh wait! Those are the things Schmuck Shumer and the Demonicrats are wanting to add. My bad totally. Well... on the upside, many a Dem here can explain the need to shutdown the government to include these critically important line items to benefit the average US Citizen.
In other good news, we are still Citizens in a Constitutional Republic, as opposed to surfs in a Socialist Chite-hole - still.

There is still time to negotiate that if Democrats would pass the clean CR bill that is before them.

Dem leaders in Congress might be dumb, but they aren't dumb enough to fall for that bullshit.
