Its like blaming trump for beef prices when economics have forced the smallest cow herd in decades.

I'm glad I don't have to complain about being too poor to buy what I need, I knew poor folks growing up that would keep their mouths shut tight before complaing they didn't have enough to eat.

It was called pride, today, its entitlements, you believe you are entitled to lower egg prices.

Well, to solve that, build a chicken coop and raise your own chickens and eggs, we did, and we have.

Teach a man to raise eggs, and he has all the eggs he wants.

Teach a man to beg and whine for eggs, and we have folks like you.
Ok, now we're back to all being farmers again. Lololol. MAGA is all over the place on this issue, and it's yet another reason it must be labeled a cult.

By the way, I never said I couldn't afford the eggs, so your little proverb there is irrelevant. Just saying that they are much more expensive under trump than they were under Biden.

trump said he would lower prices "on day one". It's now like day 250 and he hasn't done shit about shit. And I'll be here every day to remind MAGA of yet another broken promise from trump.

Naturally, MAGA now thinks it's the patriotic thing to do to pay higher prices for everything. Because of course they do.

I do love these vids. Show how far some prices have fallen in some places.

And in local news the GE prices are unchanged at $3.99 for Hillandale and $5.49 for Eggland's Best.

Has the Trump admin given up on the campaign promise? Seems so

They never cared about egg prices to begin with. It was just a manufactured outrage to secure the angry moron vote.

Another week in, another round of data

And another week of stagnant egg prices. Hillandale still $3.99 and EB still $5.49

Reasonable article on where eggs were and are, including some concerns as we head into fall when bird migrations pick up

Egg prices rose 10.9% in August on a year-over-year basis and were flat compared to the level seen in July. Overall, core inflation was up 2.9% year over year during the month.

The egg industry continues to be impacted byrecurring avian influenza outbreaks that have resulted in the culling of tens of millions of hens, reducing supply and driving up costs over the past year

Prices are down nearly 50% from the March 2025 peak but are still above year-ago levels, largely due to the effects of the avian flu, supply chain adjustments, and lingering supply constraints. The price of a dozen eggs in the U.S. reached historic peaks in early 2025, hitting as high as $8.17 per dozen in March due to widespread bird flu losses and supply shortages

Seems we're going to go into the fall without the Trump admin getting egg prices back to where they were when they started belly aching that prices were too high.

No change at GE since last check in. We have enough data points to show stagnation

Avian Flu has been detected in South Dakota turkeys, with ducks being the offending vectors.

A Michigan poultry farm found some infections, as did a farm in Maryland. Let's hope they remain contained or egg prices may jump again and breakfast is going to be a lot more expensive

Hopefully not. Turkey is one of my favorite eats. I agree you can have a chicken coup, but raising turkeys is a TOTALLY diff thing. Eggs at Walmart were 2.97 a dozen for large last week. Prices seemed to stabilized minus this recent discussion.

Avian flu fucking sucks...

Prices starting to rise again? We never even got them back to where they were when Trump and Vance starter whining.

We've got fewer layers and less production right now than we had last year at the same time

Still whining about being too poor to buy eggs.

Have you know dignity?

Oh, the humanity.

Start a go fund me already.

Swing and a miss, Devo. I do appreciate the concern as always.

What were the prices at your local Aldi's?

Couldn't tell you, I don't care.

IF I want eggs, I'll buy them.

I could have bought 200 dozen with what I spent on gun toys last month, a couple new cans, one a really cool mini 9mm one, 3D printed titanium, short, and light, James Bond shit.

Priorities.

Great.

The usual GE options remain unchanged. Something to be said for stable prices, even if they're still substantially higher than they were last September
