...Dang! She is good. She manages to keep them laser focused on the 5% and ignoring the 95%. God's speed Insha and thank you for your service to our country.
As good as she is, she is wise to have an accomplished supporting costar to seal the deal. I would compare him to a magnet on the tip of an oil pan glug - to attract the fine metal shavings. This boy can attract the best cisgendered males the party has to offer, along with the female types that are attracted to them.
...Think of how easy it would be to be a damn Republican.
“Oh, what should I wear today? This stupid freaking red hat.”
“What should I say today? I don’t know. Just make sure it’s cruel.”
“Who do we listen to? That guy.”
“Oh, the felon in the White House? Yeah, listen to him, and that will be fine.”
Now he’s talking about burning flags. He’s going to have flag burning or whatever, because he knows there’s a hell of a lot of flags with his picture on them that are going to get burned...
It is not. It is an indication of what people, i.e. market, thinks the future of the economy is going to be.
As I've said; it's a "forward" looking indicator, i.e. a sentiment, a feeling, a vibe, etc. of the future. Doesn't mean they are always right or wrong.
Pelosi doesn't put her $$ into some stock when she knows it's going to tank, based on inside legislation information. Wouldn't be prudent.
Agreed. Alot of the market is how people "feel".

Changing the name of the Department of Defense to the Department of War will likely cost billions of dollars, though an exact figure has not been provided, as it would require a comprehensive rebranding of hundreds of agencies, uniforms, emblems, stationery, and signage across the globe, according to the BBC and Politico

Trump can't 'tame' Russia, I guess he'll settle for 'taming' DC, Chicago, LA, etc.
Trump can easily tame Russia but why would he do that just for Ukraine?

I guess that was woke of us to do
so when exactly did "Polio Boi" FDR put a standing army in Russia? don't seem to recall that ever happening. even if it would have been a good idea.

if Politico and the BBC think hanging a few new signs costs billions they are idiots
is it gonna cost 1 billion to change all the stationary?

... NOT with the blokes from DOGE handling things.
But, you keep listening to Politico and the BBC on the cost
of things... As both those shopworn news sources DO know
about cost - they helped "cost" Kamala the election. ...
I think Trump is spot-on to do the DC thing, considering he has the added unique authority in DC. And let's be honest, it's a cry'n shame what a cesspool it had become.
Crimes are down in astonishing numbers. But back to that honesty thing: we know it will devolve instantly once his authority there is expired.
There are grumblings from the mayor that they might cooperate more and/or extend it but I seriously doubt it. I say take the victory and let instant history show what it will become again.

I would most cetainly love to give you a date when a demmie prez did such.
But why should I when you refuse to answer questions put to you when something has been called into question?
You can also add North Korea having a standing USA army on its soil when a demmie was in office.

I would be happy to give you that date when a demmie had an army there. But why should I since you refuse to answer replies when what you post is called into question.
And a demmie even had a standing army in North Korea.
