The irony here is delicious. Not to mention, entirely off topic.

100% disagree and I’ll go back to the well.
Border security and deportations were part of what Clinton and Obama did.
Today border security and deportations are far right because you wackadoodle Dems have moved so far left.
You libs went right along for the ride, unable to think for yourself and hold your position.
I actually voted more Dem than Rep 10-20 years ago. You Dems are currently crazy and I’m now “far right” bc I didn’t move with you.

It's not about you. Or Dems vs Republicans It's why Trump isn't better at deportations.
If the deportation numbers are around 200k, self-removals don't help his cause unless he shifts goalposts.

Why wouldn’t self deportation count? Gone is gone, even better if it reduces the burden on CBP.

Because it's not a removal or a deportation. The person chose to leave. That is not part of the metric. Plus, those put very little burden on and have minimal impact on CBP to begin with.
It's not a particularly difficult concept to understand. It's apples and oranges.

If it was administration policy that prompted one to leave, that administration would be responsible for them doing so. It's not a particularly difficult concept to understand.

I'm glad to see you coming around to the right conclusions. We've been saying EXACTLY this same thing when Trump was in court on Banking Fraud, yet ya'll complained that there was no victim.
Sometimes there isn't someone who was negatively affected, but it's the law and there to protect the system because it's the right thing to do.
When it comes to deporting people, why are we deporting immigrant labor who WANTS to do this work at farms and agriculture areas, or in home sites? As a captialist society- we like to buy low, and sell high and keep the profits- Where were you being all inflamed about slave labor for the past 5 or 6 decades when this was ALWAYS the case on how farms worked?
the sudden pearl clutching now- seems less than genuine.
Perhaps its just cause it fits your political narratives.
WE spend more money on ICE and HOMAN now than we are benefiting in reduced spend on medicaid and hotels or food. Meanwhile- the whole food stamp program is currently crippling older americans and our vulnerable populations. A complete cuck-up.
Tell me how Deportations actually are helping everyday americans- MAGA. America First- what are we getting from all this bullshit??

That's different than a deportation. I get that you want to help him pad the numbers and take credit for things so he can hit the number he set himself up to fail on.

Doesn’t matter what you call it, they’re gone and Trump is responsible for them being so. That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

A country. One of things with borders, shared language, culture, yada yada, rather than a 3rd world flophouse.

It does matter. This thread is about comparing deportation numbers and why Trump's having such a hard time doing what his predecessor did without all the extra bullshit.
Now, if you're going to go back and get a count from Obama and a count from Biden on self-deportarions and add then in then maybe you'll be comparing apples to apples but it would be for a different thread.
Plus, we have a subfocus on whether he's properly prioritizing criminals (he's not)
The metrics matter, J. Sorry

Apparently you're not very versed in criminal court. Maybe that's a good thing and you're not a criminal-so I'll give ya that.
BUT.
According to NY state law, 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, which violates New York Penal Law § 175.10. This law states that falsifying business records is a felony.
Additionally if he wasn't POTUS- he'd be in jail right now. Thats' how much law breaking he did. Forget about the fines- it's about doing the right thing- and Trump never does.
Just like his deportations- Homan is NOT getting the bad hombres- but just the little dudes who are working labor, and trying to make ends meet. The real bad ones- are still out there- running amuck. Meanwhile there is an 11 yr old migrant kid watching his parents get rounded up and sent back to mexico. Imagine doing that to your neighbor and leaving their kid to fend for themselves. Fucking inhumane.

Let all the illegals self-deport.
The country will be better off and those with TDS can think they won because “it’s not in the metrics”.

What’s inhumane is letting illegals in with no vetting, not requiring them to assimilate, letting unaccompanied young illegals cross the border and end up who knows where, fighting to keep you illegals in the country vs getting them home to their parents and then having people that defend all of the above.
Sorry if you don’t like that 47 has to clean up the mess.
