I don't like the guy. But as all the people here with common sense can see, this is a political payback because the mandrine-in-chief is just so thin skinned a little punk, regardless how the maggies describe him as strong.

This all harkens to the Nixon times. Except Nixon wasn't overt in lining his pockets. And when push came to shove, he showed he wasn't a psychopath by displaying shame and stepping down.

There is a difference from those to repubs I mentioned. Nixon did his self isolation and made a comeback by at least having his opinions foreign policy being listened too. And possibly being called an elderly statesman.

Maybe the DOJ's play isn't actually to nail Bolten for something. Maybe this a way to dig into something (and I don't know ow what) that is deeper than the mishandling papers to write as book from. There must be something involving Bolten or they could not have gotten the search warrants for lack of probable cause, but . . .I am thinking that there is something else there that involves others.

I agree with Salty and ICU.

The end result will be interesting.
But, Bolton's not stupid.
I'd fall out of my chair if any "incriminating" paperwork was found.
As for computer stuff, machines get replaced every few years, probably nothing there either.

Be interesting to see which judge and for what cause warrant(s) issued.

Btw, every attorney I deal with replaces their computers on a regular basis.
That takes care of upgrade issues and also is a "security" thing.
The old machines get scrubbed and then the drives and machines destroyed.
