Doge staffer ‘Big Balls’ beaten in brutal attempted carjacking
Attempted carjacking in Washington D.C.. The strange thing about this particular thread is that there is no mention of BIG BALLS. There was a story that came out on August 5 mentioning that Big Balls was viciously beaten Sunday August 3 in an attempted D.C. carjacking in which in tried to intervene and play Superman. Now we see that Trump has put troops, FBI, and ATF agents on the streets of D.C. to help clean up the city. Gratitude for the youngster being a good samaritan in order to prevent a Grand Theft Auto style carjacking in the District of Criminals. The lad was outnumbered 3-1 and suffered a few bruises but otherwise survived the scuffle with only a few minor scrapes and bruises.

The actual truth is that 2024 crime stats that have been proved to be manipulated are lower than 2023. However, 2023 was the highest of two decades and 2024 is much higher than every other year but 2023.

My take on this issue.
1: Deploying the National Guard and taking direct control of the DC police under dubious circumstances does nothing but blur the lines between the Military and the Police. There should be a bright line between military action and police action. Having the military perform police action against US citizens is a bad idea.
2: The circumstances in which El Schitzenpants decided to deploy troops is dubious at best. He straight up lied to the american public about the situation.
According to data compiled by the Metropolitan Police Department, violent crime in D.C. is down 26% compared to last year. In January, federal officials also announced in that total violent crime for the last year had hit a 30-year-low.
3: Does anybody else find the timing of this announcement to be suspicious. This appears to be a distraction from the fact that Trump chickened out yet again over the China tariffs. They have been delayed yet again for another 90days.

If you had watched the press conference rather than venting, Trump said the National Guard will back the law enforcement components but are not cops. They can detain and protect only. Arrest and investigation are police functions.
Of course, you've drank a lot of Kool Aid and your TDS is likely to be permanent.

I did watch the press conference and I did see that the National guard was not going to act as police officers. However that doesn’t invalidate my point. Without a good reason to deploy the military all it does is normalize a situation that is not normal in the public’s eyes.
I don’t want to get to a point when it’s considered normal for the military to become the police. Because that’s the true definition of a police state.
The fact that some amongst us think that this is a good idea are the ones who have drunk the Kool Aid.

The alphabet soup agency that tracks violent crime has been accused of hiding or not releasing annual crime statistics for major metropolitan areas and states under Biden. They didn't want the real crime statistics being revealed just to prop up a weak Biden/Harris administration. However when you see the crime statistics based on race and/or who the victims are it doesn't fit the narrative of the mainstream media as to who they want to cast as the "bad guy" in society. A certain segment of society is overrepresented in violent crimes such as homicides and rapes in America of which there is no denying that.
The timing of the announcement coincides with BIG BALLS trying to be a hero is what I get out of it but it could have bigger implications for what the future may hold. Practice for a future event that hasn't yet occurred.

I am fuzzy on the legality of these actions.
Is DC now under Martial Law? Are uniformed Guardsmen going to patrol the streets withs a loaded M-4 slung any the low-ready? Is DC going to look like the Green Zone or Sadar City in Iraq of 2008?
Can President Trum p even do this . . .is this provided for in statute or constitutional law?

The situation in DC does not seem to me to be the same ss the LA riots. The Marines were sent in to restore order when the violence became so general that it was declared to be an insurrection With that said, I'd reference the events of Jan 6th 2020 and compare the two scenarios.. Jan 6th was/is widely viewed to be an"insurrection" by the progressive left., but . . .you decide.
The DC situation could be approaching the LA case, but in my view, it is not there yet.

The Whermacht did not perform police functions in Germany during the Third Reich. Does this mean it was NOT a police state?
The Red Army did not perform police functions in the USSR. Was it too not a police state?
See the key to the concept "Police State" has nothing to do with the police... rather the application of Justice by which the police forces are only the public face of the corrupt state. The real corruption lays in the application of "justice" and what that concept is defined as.

There is no martial law though I'm sure the media will push that narrative. During martial law which, as far as I know, has never been the case in an American city save during the Civil War, constitutional rights will suspended and the army will keep the law. Arrested without proof, indefinite detainment, trial by tribunal, and punishment decided by the military.
In DC the civilian government is still charge. The judges are still on the bench and the police still give you constitutional protections. If it takes extra muscle and manpower, the Guard will be there. If federal agents are under siege, the Guard will be there. If violent mobs gather, the Guard will disperse them.
