Wouldn’t you think that if ICE was raiding amps in KC the media would get wind of it and report it? I’ve searched everywhere but don’t find any news of this incident. As we all know, ICE raids with masks on and badges not displayed. This guys account does not track with this. I’m not saying it didn’t happen but it may not have been ICE.

What has always concerned me is the possibility of trafficking women coming from foreign countries. They may be doing it willingly to find a way to live here, but it just seems to create even more risk than necessary. Not to mention people managing them and possibility of theft.


The bobby has risks, and everyone can choose what their risk level is, but sometimes the large head needs to think instead of the little head.

The possibility of Trafficking combined with excessive information contained in Encounter Reports are the precise reasons ICE is targeting ChinaTown.

The OGs warnings about keeping FIGHT Club rules was ignored by most . Now ChinaTown is in the crosshairs of ICE.

I still don't think ICE cares that much about the activities that go on in the AMPs. That's the job of the vice unit.

They target the AMPs for the same reason they target meat packing plants or construction workers - those are the industries where people here illegally tend to find employment.

It really does not matter if it's KC, Baton Rouge, New York, or West Armpit, NE. The OP's point about ICE targeting the AMPs and how those of us who frequent these establishments need to be careful is a valid one. ICE is targeting the AMPs, as are other federal, state, and local agencies. If it can happen in smaller cities like Baton Rouge, it can happen here as well.
