Wall Street seems content to mostly ignore Trump at this point and his threats as bluffs. From Copper to his tariff letters and latest statements about no extensions beyond Aug 1.

His BRICS tariff threat would basically kill anything productive he wants with India.

We are close to several deals as always,” Bessent said on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday. “There’s a lot of foot-dragging on the other side, and so I would expect to see announcements over the next couple of days.”

He continued: “When we send out the 100 letters to these countries, that will set their tariff rate. So we’re going to have 100 done in the next few days.”

As of Thursday, no new deals have been announced, while Trump has published just 22 letters, many to minor trading partners like Brunei, Moldova and Sri Lanka.

While it seems that the temp pause in Tariffs allowed the recovery of the market, I'm more concerned with market instability as in the knee jerk response to places like Canada and retaliation etc. Every MAGA insider is shorting the marketplace pre announcements, and then going long on the TACO step back. It's a conniving method of manipulation and it's terrible for ppl who don't know in advance. Essentially Trump's turning Wall Street into his own little playground and doesn't give a fuck about the avg Joe who , could be Democrat or Republican, getting fleeced and concerned over these market generations - selling and buying on the ups and downs. It's just one more example of how this guy is incapable of having any ethics, scruples or understanding of what it's like to be a law-abiding citizen.

GM, that inflation you were looking for has started to pop up. Which makes sense given when the data is collected vs whe. The tariffs went into effect and at what levels
