I saw a video this morning where a citizen said that it is mostly peaceful in the day but once night hits it turns to chaos. The problem is that it's not all illegals causing the chaos. The media will blow things up and then citizens will go and make things even more chaotic. It's not just an LA thing it happened in Oregon, Washington, and Minnesota as well in the past few years.

If I was the governor and the president came in without me asking it would surely piss me off.
This is purely a political stunt by the President and has nothing to do with quelling violence but is rather an attempt to further his own political agenda and to expand the further normalization of military intervention by the President.
The deployment of the military on US soil should be the last resort and not the first.
Its well documented and even stated by Trump that he cannot commit troops or national guard without authorizition of the current governor, nor without declaring and insurrection or he'd be in violation of Posse Comitatus Act.
