There are quite a few misstatements here.

Once a person is inside the US, they are entitled to due process.

Obama prevented a lot of these issues by not letting immigrants get past the border...then they could be returned without due process.

Trump is doing his usual thing by trying to bypass judges and the legal system.

I have no problem with Garcia being deported to his country of origin if he is here illegally. However being sent to a prison in a 3rd country supposedly for life and not being convicted of any crime other than being here illegally is wrong. Now that he is back let a jury of his peers decide his guilt or innocence.

He could have got a lot better deal in El Salvador, maybe even bribed his way out, the just blended in and got out early on good behavior.

For illegal immigration whereby one does not have a valid visa, due process is as follows:

A deportation hearing is held. In one case I know it took 7 years to get one!

At the Individual Deportation Hearing, you will be allowed to present testimony, evidence, and arguments against deportation. The Individual Hearing can take a few hours or several days, depending on your case's facts and circumstances. After the hearing, the judge will either grant you relief or enter a removal order. NOT a jury trial.

So Kilmar’s due process should be a quick hearing followed by deportation unless he has a valid visa or asylum. If he’s committed any wrongdoing or has no basis for staying he should be outta here fairly quickly.
