Any ideas on the root cause of mental health problems?
Mental health disorders are not a laughing matter but I can’t say I’m surprised. Mebbe the MSM fear mongering is more than such an impressionable young brain can handle? I just don’t know.
“Percentage of extreme liberals under 30 years of age who have been diagnosed with a mental health problem: 56%
Percentage of extreme conservatives: 10%”
Any ideas of the cause, the remedy, and the outlook for the future?

By reading posts in this forum, extreme Libtards over 30yrs old have severe problems too. I don’t think there’s a remedy.

I found this on the interwebs:
One explanation for this ideological gap in mental health could stem from differing ideological justifications for the state of the world. Conservatism is a system-justifying ideology that seeks to rationalize the existing political, economic, and social order.
On one hand, conservatives rationalize inequality in the world to justify their privilege within the system they are living in, ultimately serving as a buffer against the negativity of inequality and preserving a positive mental state.
Liberals, on the other hand, are less inclined to rationalize inequality in this way, recognizing that there are factors outside of one’s control that affect outcomes, and that hard work alone may not be enough to achieve a positive outcome.
Apparently it's apathy vs. empathy. Go figure that was what the whole thing is about. Feckless enablers feel better about watching inequities; same way kids in the schoolyard would love watching a bully do his thing unless it's to them- Explains a few things, yet doesn't make either of them right.

Yeah ok.
I just can’t figure out if mentally unhealthy people seek the Dems or if the Dems turn people mentally ill.
You know what came 1st, the chicken or the egg?

The lineage of logic tells me that the reason for being un-happy has more to do with the results of the last 8.5 yrs than a political party. Just like I don't expect everyone who's happy to be a GOPer. THere are plenty of angry Mofo's from camp GOP out there as well.

well perhaps you could do a little looking into it, and tell us about the chickens or the eggs, or the Dems- last I checked there was plenty of bluster and anger on both sides of the aisles. If I recall, Bongino, Patel, Guilliani, and the pillow guy were all pretty fucking angry ....so are they Dems or just unhealthy in the brain bucket?

I didn’t realize you personally could diagnose mental health disorders via watching interviews and news clips. Unless you have a personal relationship with the folks you listed? Did they confide their diagnosis in you?
Well Bravo I guess.

I read your post. It wasn’t based on research or science. Just someone’s biased opinion. “Apathy vrs Empathy” “ entitled”blah blah blah.

Just blame the parents.
Everyone else does.
Even in court.

“Liberals are more than twice as likely to say they have poor mental health — while conservatives are more than twice as likely to say their mental wellbeing is “excellent.”
Is it any wonder?
Conservatives promote family and religious values and pro-community messaging. The left is the party of grievance politics and “Yes you can’t” messaging.”

Going through life filled with the hatred for half the country must be depressing all by itself.

We have been saying this about the RedHats for 8 plus years. All the fomation of hatred by the entire right wing news machines and the propaganda of the GOP must feel like a daily gaslighting that "has been like never seen before".
Books that claim the left hates america, hates the other side, hates capitalism and hate the constitution.....all totally absurd but written to sell books and to promote reasons for weak minded followers to keep tuning in to Faux News, Newsmax, and all the regular messaging war machines like Breitbart or the Heritage foundation. All shills who would rather see democrats dead vs finding solutions.
Pathetically small minded groups love that shit and thump their bibles and touch their crosses as displayed on TV to appeal to our religiously entrenched brethren.
Not shocking that the Apathetic moral lacking GOP, who support a felon, a guy with kids to multiple failed marriages and is a prolific liar would love their dear leader. He represents their lack of moral fiber, and the true essence of what Republicans are these days. A two faced scruppleless dictator who promised the entire farm for votes, but instead delivered nothing except for an inept group of FoX "news" personalities who lack in every aspect of abilities, knowledge and education.
But if that helps you sleep at night saying that Dems are the problem vs totally idiotic policies and people, then by all means gear up and keep those guns snuggled up to fight the evil left.
I just remember this place as being a lot less about hatred and more about finding solutions. Not so much anymore.
