Default Imma call it now: Summer of Love 2025

Quote:
'Republicans cannot know a moment of peace': Governor joins ranks of Democrats calling for political violence

'The language is all too familiar and can only be described as assassination prep – carefully cloaked in moral outrage – designed to incite the most egregious acts'

Democrats long have let their rhetoric move at full speed into dangerous territory, where they actually are seen as advocating for violence, even criminal violence.

Now Illinois Gov. JB Pritzer, a Democrat billionaire, has joined the ranks of those making suspicious comments.

The Federalist reports at a special Democrat assembly, he said, "Never before in my life have I called for mass protests, for mobilization, for disruption. But I am now. These Republicans cannot know a moment of peace. They have to understand that we will fight their cruelty with every megaphone and microphone that we have. We must castigate them on a soapbox and then punish them at the ballot box."

He then called out his party, the "do-nothing Democrats" who "want to blame our losses on our defense of black people, of trans kids, of immigrants…"

"We will never join so many Republicans in the special place in hell reserved for quislings and cowards," Pritzker said, the report revealed. "We will relegate their portraits to the museum halls reserved for tyrants and traitors."...

Pro Tip: (ironic, eh?) One might consider proper hand protection, so one does not scorch one's hands holding their black-ish thing-a-ma-jiggy in the summer heat.

When you get free sex with a liberal protest, is it a riot, is it mass protests, is discontent, it hard to say no when you getting you dick wet.

This is not a call to violence but a call to action. Using the power of speech and protest against the fear, intimidation and cruelty of Trump and the MAGA cult that elected him.

Calling this a prelude to violence from an administration that pardoned the Jan 6th rioters is particularly hypocritical.

You always seem to be on the edge of the pit of despair. While this is not the Technical Forum and with the mod-squad's forbearance, I may be able to assist you in some minor capacity, to help you over your pit of despair anxiety.

Wait! No! I, err uhm, mean - that if you were so technically inclined, you could easily see that I offered you access to dozens of links, if you had but just a little initiative to perform a search using only the first five words of the underlined in the OP quote. Viola! A veritable cornucopia of headlines to use or ignore. Now, are those first five words evocative or provocative? That's for you to decide.

This concludes the learning portion. For further learning references, See: Learning how to stay on thread topic.

So back to the topic at hand:

R-i-i-i-ght. Whipping up frothy emotions never leads to violence. AmmIrite? <Note to self: start thread on words leading to violence, include Falling Sky> It does kind of remind me of Mad Max, as in Waters - not the movie, calling to git all up in their faces, or some-such. Interesting that you (and Pritzger) articulate what ya'll are against, not what ya'll are for.

Against all claims from one Juicy Smelltit, Chitecago is not MAGA country after all, though we did learn that one can get a Subway sa'mich at 2 AM there. Notwithstanding, Chitecago is like #3 for homicides in the nation, ironically behind Baltimore and DC.

What we learned from previous examples of fanning frothy emotions during the previous Summer of Love, aka Fiery but Mostly Peaceful "Protests", was that much physical damage was done to both, people and property.

So as the subject title of the OP says; it is simply a prediction, though it's based on past experiences and use of words.
YMMV.

I actually think JB has the right idea. It's to stand up to the things we see that are illegal, unconstitutional, and violate the bill of rights etc.

This administration has taken up right where it left off in the lane of corruption. Even Don Jr. has decided to start selling $500,000 memberships to a club called the "Executive Branch Club" where you get access to the leadership of this country. If that isn't direct pay for play bullshit- I don't know what is, as well as Mar-a-la-golf motel, raising it's membership fees to a cool 1 million. I'm sure the food there isn't that good, and it's only to gain access to cronies of team 47.

If Biden or any Democrat had that type of shit going on - republicans wouldn't lose their minds, their heads would actually explode.

JB'P's idea is to keep these fuckers on as short of leash as possible and call them out whenever one sees improper actions. I doubt that means running around with pitchforks and torches, but it does mean getting into good trouble- per John Lewis.

I think there from memory there was a bunch of allegations of pay for play with Hunter - but Cornpone Comer and the funky bunch couldn't get the details on checks- paltry ones of 200k if I remember correctly vs. the outright donations of 500k from ANY Tom Dick or Harry like the current folks are doing. Summer of love- or summer of mal content until the checks are large enough to warrant a meeting with the Grand Poobah of all things corrupt. You know who I mean.

From here it will simply get worse and more out in the open till ppl are indoctrined to look the other way- Bondi has all but guaranteed that there will be NO persecution of the fatted calf on her watch. Corrupt to the core and no oversight.

What could go wrong??

Hell - the administration has just started to purge the non-loyalists from their ranks and files-

Pritzker was right- Reveal them at the soapbox and remove them at the ballot box. That doesn't sound so bad to me.

Let us call up one random audience member from the crowd.

Enter stage Left: One JoAnna St. Germain of Waterville, Maine calling on the Secret Service to kill Trump and his supporters.

Quote:
...On Facebook, she insisted the federal agency "step up" and avoid a civil war by killing Trump and his supporters.

She claimed it would not constitute assassination, since she turned conspiracy theorist with the claim Trump is not a legitimate president "duly elected by the American people."

She said, "If I had the skill set required, I would take them out myself."...
Isn't she loverly, teaching her students such open-minded civics, or what ever clap-trap? Free speech much?!?

In simple terms, this means a lot of Democrat supporters will be getting new sneakers, flat screens, and anything else they can carry out of a looted store.

Default Imaging that, a Jewish guy invoking ye olde, tried and true epitaphs of Adolf - again

Stupid is as stupid does, I guess.
Quote:
As Democrats struggle with an elusive Rubik’s cube of possibilities on how to neutralize Donald J. Trump, tough-talking billionaire Gov. JB Pritzker (D-IL) appears to be positioning himself as the president’s loudest critic and the alternative to the MAGA movement in 2028.

Pritzker has used recent appearances to launch what Republican critics say is nothing more than a greatest hits list of tired, false attacks on the president, such as:
  • Trump is an authoritarian.
  • Trump “hates” the military.
  • Trump is “disparaging the very foundation of Judaism.”
...In a State of the State address in February, Pritzker even evoked the specter of Adolph Hitler, saying Trump has set the kind of tone that created Nazi Germany.

Pritzker is Jewish. His family owns the Hyatt hotel chain. Pritzker also is a venture capitalist.

With his fortune, his square stature, and pug face, the governor presents as the kind of two-fisted tough guy some believe they need to win back the working man vote. And he exaggerates.

In short, he’s the Democrat version of Trump...
He is already making the circuits, like New Hampshire and the Jimmy "Kommie" Kimmle shows, apparently on ye olde TDS, TDS, Orange Bad, TDS, TDS platform. Now with even more Nazi's.

Default Summer is almost here. Let's check the thermometer.

Seems to be heating up a fair bit already. Let's check in on the University of Washington this week.

So what's up wid dat?
Quote:
...Context of the Protest
The protest at the University of Washington is part of a broader trend where college campuses become hotspots for political activism. Over the last few years, various groups have organized protests to voice their perspectives on global issues, including the Israel-Palestine conflict. Antifa, known for its anti-fascist stance, often engages in direct action against what they perceive as oppressive political regimes, and their activities have garnered both support and criticism from different sectors of society.

Reasons for the Protest
The primary motivation for the Antifa-led protest appears to be a response to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. Activists often argue that international support for Israel is tantamount to complicity in human rights violations against Palestinians. This sentiment resonates with many students and young people who feel a strong connection to social justice issues. The protest at the University of Washington reflects a growing wave of activism that seeks to challenge perceived injustices and advocate for marginalized communities.

Reports of Violence and Fire
As the situation unfolded, reports emerged concerning multiple fires on campus, raising concerns about safety and the potential for violence. While protests are a common occurrence in democratic societies, incidents where property is damaged or public safety is jeopardized can lead to serious consequences. The presence of fires indicates that the protest may have escalated beyond peaceful demonstration, prompting discussions about the boundaries of acceptable protest behavior and the responsibilities of both protesters and law enforcement...
No word yet on who brought the smores.

Fiery but Somewhat Peaceful, you say?!?

These judges ruled against Trump. Then their families came under attack.

As federal judges rule against the Trump administration in dozens of politically charged cases, the families of at least 11 of the jurists have been targeted with threats and harassment.

When U.S. District Judge James Boasberg ruled in April that Trump administration officials could face criminal contempt charges for deporting migrants in defiance of a court order, the blowback was immediate.

When Elon Musk shared an online post that mischaracterized the work of Judge Boasberg’s daughter, some of his followers responded on X with calls “to lock her up.”

The president’s supporters unleashed a wave of threats and menacing posts. And they didn’t just target the judge. Some attacked Boasberg’s brother. Others blasted his daughter. Some demanded the family’s arrest – or execution.

U.S. District Judge John McConnell’s family endured similar threats after he ruled that President Donald Trump overstepped his authority in freezing grants for education and other services. Far-right provocateur Laura Loomer tweeted a photo of the judge’s daughter, who had worked at the U.S. Education Department as a policy advisor, and accused McConnell of protecting her paycheck.

Billionaire Elon Musk amplified the post to his 219 million X followers. Neither mentioned the daughter had left her job before Trump’s inauguration.

Loomer continued her attacks with nine more posts in the ensuing days – and more than 600 calls and emails flooded McConnell’s Rhode Island courthouse, including death threats and menacing messages taunting his family, according to a court clerk and another person familiar with the communications.

After U.S. District Judge James Boasberg ruled against the Trump administration, the president’s supporters responded with vitriol aimed not only at him, but also at his family.

Boasberg and McConnell are among at least 11 federal judges whose families have faced threats of violence or harassment after they ruled against the new Trump administration, a Reuters investigation found.

as they OWN the Democrat politicians - there will no doubt
be MORE of these "peaceful protests" in the future. ...
