Default bail outs ahead for American farmers ?

The U.S. exported $176 billion of agricultural goods in 2024, and the three largest destinations for those exports were Mexico, Canada, and China, according to the Farm Bureau.

During Trump's first term, his trade war with China caused American farmers to lose one of their largest export markets. The Trump administration provided a $28 billion bailout via a New Deal–era program at the Department of Agriculture.

How much will Donald have to pay out this time to keep farmers in business ?

the US has been propping up agriculture with subsidies in America for decades.

You do know that both Canada and Japan only impose tariffs above a certain level. In the case of butter in Canada I don't know that any has EVER been affected because the amount tariff free is so high.

They probably don't know, and that was stretching it to begin with.

Main products such as soybeans, wheat, corn dwarf those other products.

Know about the rice.
Not about the butter.
Can understand the corn and Europe because of GM stuff.

yes

I'm surprised you don't chide Farmer in these forums about that.

And goodie for them! That shows the farm belt has more spine than the occupant of the WH.
