NY Times Prints False Story About Elon Getting Pentagon Briefing.

It seems The NY Times decided to print a story that The Pentagon was giving Elon Musk private briefings on a potential war with China.
The story was supposed to be based on a leak.
The Pentagon has responded saying the story is 100% false.

Pam Bondi will find who ever fed this false story to the Times. Or maybe the Times just made it up and will claim 1st Amendment protection gives them the freedom to print lies.

You know, I sat in on some classified briefings in the 80s. We were not allowed to disclose what we saw or heard. Nothing deep or dark. More of a display of our capabilities. All public knowledge now.

When the Titanic went down in 1910 (?), there was a swirl of wild rumors about it from all of the New York news papers. Remember that back then print news was the only real public outlet for what was going on in the world. Radio wouldn't be an effective news disseminator for nether twenty years, give or take.

All of the newspapers except for The New York Times. They held back on reporting these rumors and waited until the first survivors had come in before doing any substantive reporting . . .and they got it right with solid reporting based on first hand accounts.

That is how, why and when the NYT got their reputation for being this first class news source that was unimpeachable. That reputation is what made them a valued news source amid all the hit storm surrounding the Watergate Scandale. But no longer.

Ever since the campaign and lection of 2016, and continuing to this dy, the NYT has destroyed that reputation with biased exporting and outright fabrication . . . or by simply not reporting on what is known.

Today, I am automatically suspicious of any information coming from The New York Times.
