This grocery store is your one-stop shop for any needs you may have for your home. Whether you’re looking for some fresh bakery items, frozen foods, dairy products, alcohol, or even if you want to fill up your tank with gas at the convenient fuel station on-site.

You can get it ALL at Giant Eagle. The store also offers many services and amenities, including money transfers, gift cards, and a convenient pharmacy.

With such convenient locations and a wide range of services, it’s no wonder that Giant Eagle is one of our country’s most popular grocery store chains. We have to admit, though, that their prices are a bit on the steep side, making them unattainable for many consumers.

But if you’re looking for high-quality products, Giant Eagle is your best bet.

That's the point, it's one of the nations 10 most expensive grocery stores. I fn hate shopping at Dirty Bird. Fucking coffee is 15.00 a pound vs the same price for 2.5 x the amount at Sam's club.

Everything at GE is expensive, and the fuel perks are garbage now

You're also helping to subsidize the biggest welfare queen in the country by shopping at Walmart. There's a reason the prices are so cheap on the front end.

Walmart costs U.S. taxpayers over $6 Billion annually in public assistance for their employees.

... Too Right, mate... And with all the money you save,
there's time for supper at Outback Steak.

Good tucker there! ... Tackle a steak! ... And IF you go
there and tell 'em Salty sent ya - they'll prolly take
five dollars OFF the cost of yer bill. ...
(Reckon Bambino tryed that once - and got a FREE beer!)
... Now back to Giant Eagle - yes, their prices are high.
But, so are Kuhn's and Shop -n- Save. ...
Unless you wanna brave the "flea market" atmosphere
of Aldi - yer choices are rather limited, mates.

GE does have some stuff not in Walmart/Aldi/etc. Only pasta noodles in town worthy of my chicken soup, for example. Anything both places have I’ll get at WallyWorld because the price is lower. Meat and produce, imo, are better quality at GE.

I like Fresh Thyme but there’s not one close enough to justify the time and fuel. Only 2 I’m aware of are Carnegie and Century 3 areas.

Do you make your own chicken stock, or buy pre-made? I usually will get a whole chicken or even a rotisserie style one, as long as it's not too heavily seasoned. Then add the mire poix. It can make up to 12 quarts of good chicken broth / veggy broth etc. I do it a few times a year- 2 quarts for later use, I freeze and then 2 batches - one for chicken noodle, with klusky hunky noodles and the other for homemade wedding soup. I cheat and use the Delallo's mini meatballs for that one.

I once bought some frozen noodles like the klusky ones at walmart and it made shitty soup and hard ass noodles also. I typically will boil my noodles in 1/2 water/ 1/2 stock to give them flavor without sucking up all the juice from the soup stock. I have a secret ingredient that I add at the end.- a little fresh lemon juice to give it a little pop. It makes a nice difference with winter soups and it being brightened up a little bit.
GE is where I get my noodles from FYI.

I plop the whole chicken in a stock pot and let it simmer hours for the stock. Take it out, strip all the meat and throw it back in. Some more simmering then the carrots and celery. Noodles go in last and it’s ready in 15 minutes. If it’s a huge pot that’ll have leftovers I cook the noodles separately.

When there a lot left I like to freeze individual portions in ziplock bags. Pop one out, peel off the bag and chuck it in the microwave. Nice hearty meal ready in under 5 minutes. I could live off it with no complaints.

GE noodles are the best. Can’t recall the brand's name but they’re super thick and doughy.

Giant Rip Off has some very GOOD sale prices, that said, you have to avoid buying anything but whats on sale.

I do agree about the meat, I was able to get Picanha cuts, they were meat factory cryo pacs, not cut fresh, so, they were easier to freeze.

Best fucking meat I have ever eaten in my life, done with nothing but olive oil and salt and grilled rare.

Also, I think the change into a non family CEO is going to change their ethics a bit, I know people who have worked there and hit a "Religious Ceiling", beyond which they could never advance, I'm talking higher level management.

But I'll tell you, since ALDI has arrived, they have really showed how HIGH GEs prices are.

Advocados, tiny ones were 2 bucks each, at GE, 69 cents at Aldi.

That made my Guac last night, 5 bucks instead of 10 after adding fresh salsa.
